There was not one thing put on about Bobby Darin. Darin was from Harlem. (south bronx area new york)

He marched in the civil rights marches in the 60s. He was personal friends with Bobby Kennedy and campaigned for him.

He had strong convictions and black entertainers recognized that and they recognized his talent. Elvis sang mostly black written music when he first got started, no one criticized him for it then or now. BTW, Elvis and Bobby were good friends.

Yeah I must say it is a silly statement guy. I dont think you meant anything racial but Bobby was simply Bobby. I have to say when he tries to do more black type stuff it feels "put on" to me. He doesnt sell it. His pop ability, musicianship, and swing ability is peerless. Lots of soul. Makes you feel it. But "mojo workin" seems a bit fake.
