I agree. Mario Kart 64 is by far the best in the series. Next is pretty much a tie between Wii and SNES. Double Dash just plain sucked, and DS and Super Circuit? Can we even count those? But MK64 was an excellent game -- one of the top 5 for the system, and definitely the best Mario Kart game to date.

This, by the way, is coming from someone born in the mid-90s, so I was only a couple of years old when the N64 came out -- unlike Koopa126, who is probably only 10.

Anyway, I'm sorry for ranting.

super circuit is the worst. [[ugh!!]]

i do like double dash, not as much as this, but its cool, plus i can seem to control the drift best on there. lol.

and i SORTA like ds. (ds has some of these tracks and snes games on it, and it also has some super circuit ones, which are PLAYABLE on ds. lol. i thought that was kinda nice to "remember" some of the old tracks.)

Double dash isn't that bad,but i did beat the thing within 16 hours,so it got kinda boring after a week.

wii gets bore after lets say a month then you stop playing it for a while come back and find the mushroom gorge grumble valcano and warios gold mine have been glitched and all are now under 45secs

well double dash ive never played admitidly im thinking about getting it though and ds was horrible with all the snaking and i suspect double dash is the same so i dont think im gonna get it at all but 64 was pretty good allround so what if it had glitched ways to go faster it was still really good

@OhSweetOz Super Circuit is great because it has so much technique and precision involved in it. There is literally no luck. It's all skill. It's a great choice for a pro gamer; but for casual playing, I see your point. :P

+ I'm also biased: super circuit being what introduced me to MK so... haha

Hmmm. Two laps in 10 seconds. Maybe if you jumped off the cliff RIGHT after you pass the starting line, or right as you start, you could get a faster time from the jump off the cliff.
