Same problem here. Have to try fix it myself now. I've had this problem since new but sick of service centre taking 6 weeks to fix what should take 6 minutes. Warranty now lapsed. :-( ASUS :-(
same thing happened to me, except i sent it into asus for repair 2 times. So far after the second time the problem hasn't re appeared. i am using an external cooling stand to see if it helps, on the asus support website there are other people who have the same problem.
Hey dude I had the same problem. Apparently it's faulty lcd and lead connector for it. Guarantee covers that completely, had it fixed by asus in about a week. Good luck!

Not repaired yet, I sent the notebook to store a second time and I hope the solution. The first time they not repaired.
