Women are now becoming more independent and educated (in the U.S.). in other countries, women can do little except breed because the system is male dominated still. I have never, ever hesitated to call myself a feminist until now - because it was never my intention that things would come to this. Over the last month or so, I have been doing research into masculinity in the 21st century. Obviously, this is a huge component of it, and I have to say, it both angers and deeply upsets me. I'm not sure which would be the right video to post this question since the statistic of more women than men graduating colleges has been referenced in more than one that I've seen, but could part of the reason for this be the anti-intellectual element of our culture and how it hits boys? My ex told me that the counselor at the South Texas Women's Shelter said that the reason I was being abused was because I was causing it. They never met me and only interaction was about their biased website. Be advised it is a total violation of professional ethics for counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrist, etc to make declarations of this nature without interacting with BOTH parties.
I find councilors in general to have their own agendas. If you disagree with a counselor or tell them that things aren't working out , they well either pout or yell at you. If they are government paid and you present any sort of challenge they will send you away in order to get an easier client. Counselors should be avoided at all costs - if you have serious issues there are peer support groups, independent research and in some cases medication.
You make some interesting points. I am a proud feminist. I don't agree with some of the things you've said. I do agree with the way you said them. If more men voiced there concerns about feminism the way you do and If more women listened objectively we might be able to get a healthy dialogue going.

Great video. It really shows the insanity, and more frankly, the utter hypocrisy of feminist ideologies. The greatest difficulty in having a meaningful discussion about manhood is the fact that women are almost always immune to criticism - that is, women never have to admit fault (even in the court system) and therefore are never forced to compare their reality with ours.
Personally, I've stopped trying to have discussions with women on this topic. It's a waste of time and energy.

theCivilDisobedient... ever study history? the reason why men have been able to accomplish all of those wonderful things is because they were conditioned to think outside of just living to have children and keep a house. Women are now becoming more independent and educated (in the U.S.). in other countries, women can do little except breed because the system is male dominated still. Young boys are encouraged to be aggressive, driven, adventurous while young girls are conditioned to be passive.

I have never, ever hesitated to call myself a feminist until now - because it was never my intention that things would come to this. I adore men, feel closer to men than women, and only wanted equality as an individual. Over the last month or so, I have been doing research into masculinity in the 21st century. Obviously, this is a huge component of it, and I have to say, it both angers and deeply upsets me. It's something I really want to fight, but I just don't know how - I literally don't know what to do, and often feel very deflated about it, like it's a losing battle... my research is for a theatre piece, through which I intend to talk about this stuff, but I just don't know if it'll make any difference

Pop-psychology has witch-trail level fearmongering against groups other than men. Though people with antisocial personality disorder have more negative traits by definition than most groups, browsing Dr (!) Martha Strout's the sociopath next door and finding fictional case studies used to defend rounding up and exterminating a group of people defined in such a way as to make you fear pretty much everyone around you sapped any faith i had in pop-psychology.

Half the literature in pop-psychology on sociopathy seem to be written by women, about men who's husbands and boyfriends CLEARLY were sociopaths beause um they didn't behave themselves like her little plaything, pretty much. There is a legitimate mental disorder, effecting a small number of people; its not something to demonize and make into a cause for fear, psychologists should NOT fuel the fire of hatred let alone internment camps / extermination, and should NOT lump one gender in there!

I'm not sure which would be the right video to post this question since the statistic of more women than men graduating colleges has been referenced in more than one that I've seen, but could part of the reason for this be the anti-intellectual element of our culture and how it hits boys? We seem more accepting of seeing little girls sedentary and reading books, but with our sons emphasize athletics to a greater degree.

Actually men are forbid to speak their mind in the media in fear of controversy, while women are encouraged to express themselves however they want.
whether its the newspaper, yahoo news etc. articles are mainly written by women. when was the last time you heard something negative about women in comparison to men.

TheHappyMisogynist, i've dropped out of my fine art course because a bitter teacher was preaching to the class (majority women) of how women are more artistic than men, even though i was the top student. then i was told to study library technician, where another women decided to discuss about how slow male checkouts are! nomatter where you go, there will always be a women teacher, someone who students are suppose to take after, that will try to devalue your worth..a mans worth.

My ex told me that the counselor at the South Texas Women's Shelter said that the reason I was being abused was because I was causing it. They never met me and only interaction was about their biased website. Be advised it is a total violation of professional ethics for counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrist, etc to make declarations of this nature without interacting with BOTH parties.

I find councilors in general to have their own agendas. If you disagree with a counselor or tell them that things aren't working out , they well either pout or yell at you. If they are government paid and you present any sort of challenge they will send you away in order to get an easier client. Counselors should be avoided at all costs - if you have serious issues there are peer support groups, independent research and in some cases medication.

Great video though I can't say I disagree much on the first part: "Men are..." but only when refering to humanity. I fail to see more positives than negatives in todays society, backed up by the presence of rasism, sexism and utter hate twards our fellow men. In the modern age we fail to surpass discrimination...
