just finished studying this piece and 2nd one, i'm about to start the last two. I really like your interpretation. I totally agree with sustaining all tones in the opening theme and in other places  LET US RIDE THE WAVES THAT E MINOR 11TH. I like to think of synthesized tones with this one.
