If you listen to the Time's End album.. you'll probably notice these guys somehow managed to find a sound somewhere between Judas Priest and Iron Maiden... and it works!
although Saint was asking for the constant comparison to JP through the copy of the style, Saint & JP to me are two very different bands & the difference is that saint is a heavier band then JP. & yeah even though they are a total ripoff(of the sound)I do enjoy saint more!
This is my favorite song, I bought the cassette when it was featured as album of the month back in 1986. It is so heavy, those guitar tones say I'm gonna kick you in the face if you get in my way Satan (lol).
i need some help, i have sinned, and i want to know if god can forgive me.
i really need some help here really really badly. me and my little borther were playing around five years ago, i was only ten at the time, and he was 7, well one thing led to another we started experimenting... and we kind of did stuff sexually, is it forgiveable? we're both boys also... but i mean.... i kind of.... liked it then.... but now i have been trying to repent. please help me.
I LOVED this song! I played it so much that I wore out the cassette tape and I haven't been able to find this song again since then....until now! Thanks for posting!
Someone needs to unearth John Mahan and convince him to play again. I know where he is. He lives in Kansas now. One of the best guitarists I have ever met and a really humble, non egotistical guy as well. I wonder if he will ever get the respect he deserves or deserved back then.
Of the tens of thousand of songs I own. This is my favorite band of all time. Their best album and this is the best song on that album. I guess this is my favorite song. Period.
My brother and I still agree that this is the best starting for any song we have ever heard. Had the LP three days after it came out. Phantom of the Galaxy/Steel Killer is awesome too.
This is by far one of my favorites of the 80s christian metal albums (right up there with Vengeance's Human Sacrifice). I used to go the church with these guy sooo long ago. I still have the original vinyl. Im also glad to see them trying to make a come back. :)
yeah, every christian band that theres been copied some ones sound. Can you believe that Bloodgood copied the beatles sound tho?? Mike is a big beatles fan.
Mail345 - The album art speaks of the beast. Read what they wrote on the back of the album and u would understand. Its not about being evil but rather exposing and explaining what the scripture speaks of the beast of the end times.
Honestly i could care less if they worshipped satan or if they wanted to smash the devils skull. Music is music, and these guys rock either way,,heavy metal forever.
@xembryo music is not music either your music glorifies GOD or satan you can't have both ways.Either you are for GOD or against him. When I got saved I quit listening to the worlds music, and started listening to music that glorified GOD,uplifts, and encourages godly living, not what the worlds music glorifies satan, glorifies drugs, alcohol, whoremongering, sodomy, and death.
@metaltildeath4eva Judas Priest isn't boring, by any means. Saint was one of the first christian metal bands I heard and in those days, christian metal was extremly rare...I also do not disregard the bands that are great, Judas Priest is one of them. I take JP as an influence nothing more.
The best way to defeat your enemy is to know them.
@Cain9453 you could have it both ways if some of the lyrics were satanic and some were christian, like we do in my band SKITZO CHRIST, after we sing a satanic number, we repent, do a christian track and then back to satan etc.
@Cain9453 That's crap. I used to think like you do but then I woke up. Music IS music. Fuck the message be it good or bad. Now go ahead and do what you christians do and respond and tell me I'm gonna burn.. I don't care cause I'll prolly look over and see you standing right there with me.
@Cain9453 man thats what happen to me when i was saved i smashed all my worldly music thousands of dollars worth and now listen to christian music(metal) that preaches love and peace and praises jesus glory to christ
@KosmicEyes Not! Music isn't music...It depends on intent just like, intent of crime or obedience...You be dumb about judgment...You obviously don't judge thineself....
Formed in Salem, Oregon in 1980 by John Mahan (Lead Guitar), Richard Lynch (Rhythm Guitar), Russell Koch(Bass Guitar), Jim Maxwell (Drums) and Bob Page (Keyboards), Saint were originally know as The Gentiles. This incarnation of the band recorded their first demo in 1981. They later changed their name to Saint and recorded their "Warriors of the Son" EP in early 1984 on Rotton Records.
I´d usually avoid anything labelled as Christian Metal like the plague, but i have to admit: This is solid rock and roll - If you play this backwards, can one conjure up a...Saint?
And did you ever heard of: "Playin' loud and heavy!" Ever seen them live? What r u doin' on earth? I'm just passin' by and love this kind of heavy songs!
This is one of the HOTTEST BANDS IN CHRISTIAN HEAVY METAL, I have always been blessed by this band, Jesus Christ is a Living God and will always Live in my Heart!

I Love this "Saint" Cassett.
Great Heavy GODLY Metal songs for when you are (mad) at your wife at Rock your angerly frustrations ou and cool oft. lol
They are way Harder Heavy Metal then "AC/DC"
Wouldn't you all agree??
But...I Don't like the "Saint" cover picture.
It's way to 'Satanic looking' for being supposedly Christian.
