  • This is definitely one of the best covers ever.

  • Amazing cover from Far. Ginuwine is an amazing performer.

  • yur band sends chills up and down my spine lol <3

  • didnt care for the original song..but this version is amazing, LOVE it

  • open hand drummer

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, open makes more sense. i still play palms down tho.

also, he's closing the hi hat on the 8ths for a nice accent.

    great cover

  • this is really a nice rock cover. the more i here it the more i like it. i still like the original alot better but this version is really really nice. cograds far 4 doin a good job on covering a great song from ginuwine. btw..wen is g coming back wit a new album?

  • I am a huge fan of the original. I LOVE the beginning of this one, though. However, the post production effects they use to distort the singers voice is not needed at all. I think his singing live is much better. The song is growing on me, though.

  • You guys have resurected a classic and made it a lot more edgy...congratulations. I dig what you did.

Hope to hear more from you guys in the near future.

  • agree with HSTraxx; anytime a genre goes mainstream or "pop"-ular, mediocrity surely ensues. mainstream rap or hip-hop is mostly crap b/c it's basically bad pop music, just trying to make that paper. but the mainstream stuff being shoved down our throats 24-7 is not representative of the creative depth & breadth of hip-hop overall. look beyond the TIs, Lil Waynes, Kanyes, etc to see the real bad-assery brewing beneath the surface...

  • are they a musician?

    here's the basic formula:

    1. Can they sing?

    2. Can they play an instrument?

If you get less than a "1", the answer is obvious. I use this formula often when judging "rap" performers.

  • What? No bass love for the video? Where's John at? =(

  • someone give me the guitar tabs of this song if you can make out what they're playing

  • Im in love with these guys and this song in a sick way ....

  • Love this version so much more! Where are these guys from neways?

  • their from sacramento

  • Ahahaha. This song is too brilliant. I am a HUGE Far/Jonah fan. ;P

  • This is sooooooo much better than the original!!!!!!!! But then again it's music and has a shit load of cool groove to it unlike the original! FAR ROCKS!

  • If we gonna get nasty baby

  • I like this version better than Genuines... but I guess that cause I am not into the R&B/Hip-Hop-/Rap type music, but give it a little flare with a rock twist and u have a great song...

  • That's because it makes it more than a lame 80's casio keyboard and drum machine which is what most hip hop sounds like.

  • Let's not forget, this was inspired by a hip hop song, not the other way around.

  • No kidding. But hip hop "musicians" are almost all talentless hacks. So, this is the equivalent of taking a piece of coal and turning it into a diamond. The coal came first too.

  • The same can be said of rock "musicians" by fans of other music. Try not to judge hip hop by what you hear on the radio, and I won't judge rock based on My Chemical Romance.

  • Well, to be fair, I did say "almost all." So, I did allow for some exceptions. Besides, I don't listen to the radio. And while MCR is crap, they still have more musical ability than the majority of hip hop "artists."

(now I'm just being argumentative. Take it with a grain of salt and a good chuckle ;)

  • No, most hip hop is good, 90% of the hip hop you hear on the RADIO are crap.

And I'll tell you 90% of rappers can lyrically blow any rocker away. And I can guarantee Ginuwine is a better singer than this guy (not to take anything away from him I enjoyed his version just as much)

(You know I just HAD to argue back :) )

  • Lyrically, I find most rappers pathetic. The inability to come up with anything even resembling an intelligent metaphor instead of the most on the nose lyric is rediculous. It's not all just about rhyming and spewing the most verbal detritus in the shortest amount of time, then having a producer come in and lay down a backing track that's made up of the same 3 parts as every other act he's produced

  • And I'll guarantee that Jonah is able to get across a wider emotional range in 1 song than Ginuwine has expressed in his entire life.

To be fair, we're just not going to agree on this and that's fine. I just find 90% of hip hop to be artistically bankrupt and I think, as a genre, it has done nothing but harm the idea of music as an art form.

I'm not saying that there's not talent involved in some of it. I'm just saying that, taken as a whole, I feel it's done more artistic harm than good.

  • Getting a little angry now are we? No worries, you keep your viewpoint, I'll keep mine.

But please, do listen to some Ginuwine and maybe even some K'Naan if you're feelin adventurous.

  • /watch?v=oWtKnPxcgiQ&feature=related&fmt=18

I felt more emotion in that song^^ than I've ever heard in any rock song. I listen all forms of rock, from Scorpions to Hinder. I like both genres so I know there's pros and cons to both.

  • No, no anger. I didn't mean for it to come across that way. Sorry if it did. When it gets right down to it, it's just not my thing. There's a variety of reasons, but that sums it up. Your link didn't work so I don't know what you were trying to show me.

  • Cool man, its all love here.

    PS. Type in "youtube(.)com"

And then the link I posted to see it. Later

  • Listen to Woodie or SPM. I would have to argree with that comment, most mainstream rappers only rap about a handfull of things and it gets old hearing it repeated diffrently by each of them. But woodie and SPM they are my favorite rappers for the simple fact that they are the picasso of rhymes because they can paint a picture with their words like no one eles ive heard. Most of their stuff is about gang banging but i look past that and hear what their saying.

  • Shaun Lopez is the master of Tone

  • when I first heard this cover I was like WTF but after the first minute of it it just sounded right. I'm now obsessed with this version

  • man the guy who edited this video sure rocks

  • definitely one of my favorite covers ever!
