I know about a year ago I was hearing inaudible voice in the 5000khz area, near hf aircraft for i believe it wss San Francisco station. They were so inaudible, I couldn't get a good lock with my good Sony sw radio on BOTH sidebands. Could this have been similar? The transmissions were heard at night with the receiving station about 10 km WNW of La Paz, MX.
@astralentity Most of the world where? Whole of Eastern Europe: German, South-America: Spanish, Most former USSR: Russian. English is spoken by less than 10% of the world population with enough fluency to carry on a regular convo. Much less when talking something like particle physics or higher mathematics.
edupornodejar: Definitely it sounds like military voice-scrambler. Possibly Chilean Navy. MilCom on the amateur bands is nothing special, Russian military can do it every day. BTW: impressive TRX! What kind of antenna? 73!
edupornodejar: Thanks for info. Good ANT! Add, after second thoughts: however for me it sounds like Colombian Mil vo-coder (here in Poland known as A-VAJO System). IMO, in 80% this is it. I'm SWL since 1988, and I heard this one only few times, on the frequency range 8 to 11MHz. Anyway, interesting catch. Regards!

Sounds like transmissions from star wars when the rebel base learns there are probe droids headed for their earth.

yeap!, George Lucas used SSB transmision for Republic Starfighter Squadron in the IV episode, so, probably used SSB digimods for R2D2 and droids :-)

auch why are these romance language stations always writing the name of the vid in english, but speaking in romance? lol
ballm0use 2 years ago
because most of the world uses english as a commonplace language
astralentity 2 years ago
that would suggest using english in the vid as well, they did not, only in the title. if it ain't in the vid, it need not be in the title
ballm0use 2 years ago
you must learn spanish so as i did learned english and french, try, is cool !

You are hearing a Tadiran PRC2000-series radio with voice encryption.
The 4 tone FSK is used for selcal (they call it autocall) and data and changes to 2 tone FSK as a sync for the voice encryption.
Theses Israeli-made radios are widely used by Army and Navy units throughout Mexico, Central and South America.
