@patcorndoggy Hi thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I just bought a compaq laptop and the mouse pad drove me insane. I guess what i want to know before i go ahead and buy this laptop is if the mouse pad (or touch pad) is very motion responsive? is it easy to get used to?
@yokheved87 Yes, it is quite a good touch pad but for me the only downside is that if you press it a little harder it becomes sticky and unusable. So just move your finger gently and you should be fine. As for responsiveness I think it's great. It's very high DPI, and has a glossy texture.
They keyboard on these HPs from a few years ago are SO great to type on! I have friends with chiclet keyboards on their laptops, and they're always surprised by how enjoyable the typing experience is on my HP.
Now, just if the rest of the laptop was as enjoyable... haha
@7351165956 Well, the button a little bit after that is that track pad toggle button which basically disables the track pad and integrated mouse buttons. Useful for when you using an external mouse.
@Chickenbandana Well, anout two hours when I'm gaming on it and about three when, I am doing basic computing. Also this was not enough for me so I got a twelve cell battery off ebay for $50 and that doubles the battery life.
it came with a 2.1ghz(i think, dont remember) amd dual core processor.
4gigs of ram
400 gig hdd
ATI hd3450
i really like the hdmi port and the eSata port...comes with typical stuff 4 usb, firewire, vga, expansion port, ethernet, modem, card reader...i'm running ubuntu...the brown looking theme of ubuntu really makes my laptop look good cus its also brown/bronze looking
Mine came with 4 gigs of ram :o but ya overall its a realy reliable laptop. Btw if u didnt know right above the sd card slot if u push that in it will come out and u can put the remote it came with in there. ;)
i had that exsact laptop and it broke the 3rd month i had it!! it was muh 2nd hp laptop i have a nother one now i have a white HP pravilion!! ive had this for like 8 months and ive had nooooo problem with it!!!
well thats very intresting but with 4 gigs you get a 64 bit operating system which is extremly incompadible with some shit and still your almost never going to be using even half of that
what is going to be incompatible? all of the software that i need works, and my os never crashes. you can fill 4gb of ram pretty fast during photo editing.
still you dont understnad that if everyone buys intel and not AMD then they will go bankrupt and intel will control the free market. This will inturn allow them not to innovate at all and send the prices soaring sky high becuase there will be no competition
well seeing as the EU has charged intel for paying computer manufactures to use intel cpu's as apposed to AMD's really shows that intel wants a fair game between themselves and AMD. Now ask yourself is that a good example of your so called free market, bribing manufactures costing AMD millions in profits.
i dont understand what side you stand on your 1st comment suposes that you support the free market by saying that i want controls and restriction. then you say that the free market is bullshit and cleary hate the free market and wan't to contol it.
well i was just pointing out the inconsistencies of yer argument that the bankruptcy of amd is somehow "un-free market" when it clearly is the acme of a FUNCTIONING free market.
my 2nd comment is basically that the whole idea of a free market is rigged in favor of the rich so extolling its virtues is madness for a poor or middle class person.
i would support amd if they made a decent product but their chips are inferior to intels.
i can send u a link showing that an amd chip causes fire
They are both good, but if your'e a gamer you want Intel. If your planning to install hackintosh then you also should have intel. Everything else is fine with AMD.
It supports like 95% of all software and such, but 64-bit is better. I've been with 32-bit since my first computer and evidently im on a 32-bit right now. 64-bit runs things a tad differently and gives better performance. It also lets you have up to 8 gigs of Ram (crazy, I know). There will eventually be a transition from 32 to 64, but it's not here yet.
Is that the infinity view screen? I still don't understand how it's different from the regular screen, but I heard it adds glare. But it's easier to clean and keeps dust from getting inside (true?). If you have it, do you like it?
Also, are the "home" and "end" key's on the right side of the keyboard?
top right corner there is a touch sensitive control when it is red wlan is off when its blue wlan is on just touch that or contact me and I will teach you how to go through the device manager
ya, that sucks, i was planning to go for an 12cell batt but now that u mentioned it, i will go for the inverter instead.. how much did u get it for there?
how do you like the mouse pad?
yokheved87 1 year ago
@yokheved87 it's a pretty solid mouse pad, size and texture are both great.

I know Intel is better but I prodly support AMD because it drives the competition and ensures that there is no monopoly on CPU's same with ATI

patcorndoggy 2 years ago
thanks, i asked because i heard that with that video card crysis should be playable at the minimum res and details
Nickarg 2 years ago
yea I play Crysis on ati radeon 3100 and the ati radeon 3200 like yours is a BIT faster, maybe 2 more fps.
30-40fps on low
20 fps on medium
15 on high
5 on highest
