btw, greeks shouted hellas for kaklamanakis who ranked second. good luck to gal. i was a greek involved in the athens 2004, was having lunch w/ one american and one israeli friend. Toasted to the first israeli golden medal in athens, my hometown and it happened! american friend complained i said you get too many golden medals, its boring hahah.

i got gal's autograph through his brother :) what memories!!! may israel celebrate more medals in beijing

WOW..brings tears to my eyes. Aharon Botzer, who gave Gal the flowers, and was one of the Israeli Olympic Committee delegates and windsurfing judges, is my father's cousin. His son Ofer Botzer (former Israeli windsurfing champion before windsurfing was an olympic sport) coached Gal for YEARS and was a very close friend, and he unfortunately passed away this year around Pesach from lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes). It makes this film that much more emotional. Well done.
