i think where the wild things are is so depreesing my mom said that they were so lonly untill max came it happen but it never get solved he goes home so the wild is alone my mom almost had souiside thoughts i hate that movie and everone how made the movie happen

Nothing happens? Nothing is without purpose, even in life. Max goes to the island to escape from reality. Through his adventures and misadventures with the Wild Things, he matures as a human being. Its a character study of 9 year old child. He's dealing with the complexities of his real life vicariously through the complexities of his imagination. It's only after his adventure that he understands life a little more and returns home with his new found wisdom. That's what's "happening."
