U.S army should have left it to rot on the runway ,its a airbus, let the french come and move there POS off the airfield, why should U.S. tax payers be picking up the tab and the airbus !
@daewooparts You really are a special category of retard, aren't you? Whoever is in charge of the airport clears the plane. If a USAF jet crashes at a base controlled by, say, the U.K., you want them to leave it there blocking the runway until the USAF comes and gets it? The plane was probably even flying mail and other packages for the U.S. troops in Afghanistan, which makes your statement even more ridiculous.
@Smoznizjev check again asshole airbus industre is a french /british firm based in france ,and the frieht contractor hired by DHL,the cargo handler is also based in france and sub contracted by DHL ,american military should be hiring american firms that use american built airplanes ! the landing gear is defective then the aircraft manufacturer should pick up the tab on product liability insurance, not US taxpayers , the airport is not owned by the US either ,they use part of it though
@daewooparts Airbus is French-German-British-Spanish. That's not 'French'. Check your own facts. Believe me, I know a shitload more about this than you do. The rest of your post is little more than empty-headed USA! USA! chestthumping. Airbus is to blame for this crash? Really? Nice to see you know more than the actual crash investigators, all from watching a youtube video!
I remember that! I was there too. I was about to go out on mission (well try to), i believe that was one of the weeks when we had almost non stop rain.
@TDPUK An ACT Airlines Airbus A300B4-200 on behalf of DHL, registration TC-ACB performing freight flight DHX-521 from Bahrain to Bagram Air Base (Afhghanistan) with 5 crew, suffered the collapse of its left hand main gear during landing roll out on Bagram's runway and came to a stand still at the left hand shoulder about 6700 feet down runway 03 on its left hand wing, left hand engine, rear fuselage and right hand main gear. No injuries occurred.
These days I am absolutely amazed that the aircraf is holding together on these impacts.Airbus & Boeing are truely showing the quality of thier aircraft when it comes too accidents like these.Being an x-trucker the driver who took the wing on a flatbed did a heck of a job also..LOL
Here's the video from the cockpit:

Given the amount of damage I wouldn't be surprised if the aircraft is declared a write-off.
