  • Great song sung by a great artist. Thank you for enabling music lovers to enjoy this rare recording which gave me a chance to travel in time tonight.

  • From the Aftermath album

  • Very good version of a Stones song. I didn't know the Stones own version was a cover. Great song all around.

  • We Brits are much more familiar with the Chris Farlowe version, it's true, but Del does a very strong cover here. Didn't try to imitate, just put his own stamp on this Rolling Stones composition. Sir H.

  • I like this version. It's very good. It's a good song. I like all versions I've heard of it. They all have their own distiinct qualities.

  • Call me crazy, but I'd have loved to have heard The Supremes record this song. Seems like a great fit.

  • @LarryRickenbacker ,,,thers a very strange album , motown sings the beatles...amazon..chek it out.be warned english fan..

  • Del was such a talent such a shame he took his own life! So sad

  • Fab recording..nice and loud xx

  • @beastyclarke- thanks for watching. Ron

  • Chordie have the cheek to say that this version sounds almost like the Mavericks - WHO?

    They wish??

  • I notice you say this is a Rolling Stones song . They may have recorded it - but it is Chris Farlowe's song, and in my opinion Chris's version is only just ahead of Del's (no offence Del or Chris - that's a compliment!) No-one else should have wasted their energy trying.

  • @theloudhalo- hi thanks for commenting. I see you are from the U.K. In the U.S.A. we never heard Chris Farlowe's version of this song. Chris must have released the single of this song in the U.K. I'd only heard the Rolling Stones sing it- and Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote this song. It is on the Rolling Stones album- I don't know if they ever released it as a single. Greetings from the U.S.A.! God Bless you, Ron

  • @rwells47 I had never heard Chris Farlowe's version either and I live in Canada. I'd only heard the Stones' version. You are correct; it is a Jagger/Richards song.

  • @theloudhalo the stones wrote it, jagger and richards...

  • Nice one Del! Better than the Stones version any day.

  • a great song sung by an icon of the rock n roll era.RIP Del we are all the poorer without you

  • great versionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!!!!!!

  • @MARKETMAN6789- you are very welcome! Ron

  • I wondered if this would be the Rolling Stones' song, but I figured it would be a 1960s recording if that were the case. Del Shannon also recorded another Rolling Stones song, "Under My Thumb" back in the 1960s. I have also heard another version, done back in the 1960s by Chris Farlowe, of this song.

  • Cool cover!
