  • whats the best bat that i could buy? below 30 quid??

  • @liamlad999 Good question. I'm not sure. If you'd like to ask this on our website under Ask the Coach we could open it up to our readers, I'm sure they'll have some opinions for you.

  • @pingskills it's ok now. I have ordered the Cornilleau Nexeo X90 Carbon Table Tennis Bat. Are they good?

  • @liamlad999 I've never used that brand so I can't help you out sorry. If you want to post a question on our website we can open it up for our readers.

  • @pingskills great vid, too bad a bunch of clowns had to go and ruin the comments

  • china got so many good players top 5 guys are from china

  • my rating is 2350 i beat asian guys all the time

  • i'm quite curious, which blades + rubbers do you recommend for a beginner? great videos btw, very helpful, keep up the good work!

  • @blackritchie8 we recommend control blades and rubbers that aren't too fast. We have a pre made bat, the PingSkills Rook that we recommend for beginners. It will suit players learning strokes and wanting to generate some spin on the ball

  • How can they upload a video with the sound this bad???? can't hear anything...

  • @fishbellyrocks This was one of our first videos. We are now using a microphone and our latest lessons are much clearer. Take a look on our website to see a lot more lessons.

  • @TheGenisisProduction That's RIGHT!! You're the Man!! +1

  • The most important skill in Ping Pong is being Asian.

  • @23Thijs or German as Timo Boll is the current world number 2.

  • @pingskills Dude it's just a joke don't get all serious with your nerdgasm

  • @23Thijs

dude, its in bad taste don't get all cuntish with your racegasm.

  • @pingskills guess whose number one?

  • @asianinvasion002

lol, best player of all time?: waldner (sweden). get a fuckin grip son.

table tennis knows no racial boundaries.

  • @pingskills Im both. =)

  • @InfamousCrispy Great. I look forward to seeing you become World Champion :)

  • @23Thijs im black can i still win?

  • @ThillyThauthageth I'd recommend basketball for you

  • @23Thijs :( im gona do curling

  • @23Thijs don't forget the russians

  • @TheGenisisProduction Excellent point.

  • they play like noobs.

  • @firendable to demonstrate the most important skill.

  • @firendable to help the noobs to improve their PingSkills..

  • can you help me?I don´t know cut ,you can send any video?

  • @hs22ify I think you are referring to the chop or the push. We have a video for both of these. Just go to the PingSkills website and you will find these lessons.

  • He is my coach!!!

  • @hs22ify Glad you found our videos on YouTube!

  • what's the side of the paddle better to use ,, the black side or the red side ?

  • @polikarpyo it really doesn't matter. It is just an ITTF rule that you must have one red side and one black side.

  • @polikarpyo in some paddles the black side is thicker than the red side,so if you use the black side you have to hit the ball stronger

  • @polikarpyo RED SIDE. TRUST ME.

  • @polikarpyo Okay just don't listen to what some people say like "THE RED SIDE TRUST ME" that doesn't mean nothing it's just in the rules one side red the other one black, every rubber exist in both red and black you just choose if you prefer black in forehand or backhand.. What's important is not the color but the rubber itself.. The Tackiness C is not the same that a Tenergy for example...

  • Great work putting this simple and easy to follow lesson online.

We have just bought a table and it is great fun playing every night for 20-30 minutes

  • great sound quality. it is important to hear what a teacher says.

  • @nelsondln Yeah this was one of our first videos. We now have a microphone and the sound in our latest videos is much, much better!

  • should pong be TT

  • im selected in table tennis n do u have a traning in which we can improve our self fast so tell me tomorrow pls n i m ur fan

  • @basicsattalite We have a lot of stuff on our website. Have a look and if you have any questions then leave a question on the Ask the Coach section.

  • i just start my 1st time playing this sport, all of this teaching vids helping me so much. after 1 week training and practicing it with my partner, i can now do better from before, i can even smash well and block well, i can receive serve well and no more complaint from my teammate. thanks a lot.

  • @brutalyser You're welcome. Keep training hard and I'm sure you'll keep improving.

  • i admit this was a huge help to me when i entered youtube without an account (i was around 7 or so) i searched this up (as i was a total noob and shortie and couldn't return the darned ball) and yeah i built up and my max rally with my friend is 128 ( im 13-14 or so)

  • The most important skill has to be receiving the service. It doesn't matter how consistent your stroke is if you can't return a good serve. It's the easiest way to lose a point and the least practiced skill.

  • @sweetstrike33 Returning serve certainly is a crucial part of Table Tennis and is as you say not practiced enough by most people. This is a generic video to highlight the importance of consistency.

  • I miss table tennis! :(

    Good video clips guys!

  • I didn't notice anything was being said until I read the comment where you need to put the mic closer...I was wondering when it was gonna start.

  • nice u playing like girls

  • @screamazz I wouldn't say that too loudly. There are lot of girls out there who can play pretty amazing Table Tennis!

  • @pingskills Don't listen to Screamzz, you guys are they best, Olympic coache and former olympian don't have to share there secrets with other players and you guys do, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

  • @pingskills THANK YOU!

  • @pingskills like me.

  • @pingskills "girls"

  • @screamazz shoe on ur face hahaha

  • @meriuss Thanks for the tip! We have learnt our lesson and are now using an external microphone for all our videos.

  • And they all slept ever after....

  • whoa. guy on right is using left hand in this video... wait, are you left-handed? i don't think i ever realized it, if you are in fact left-handed.

  • @DaKrazedKyubizt Alois certainly is left handed.

  • i love da table tennis vey nice game...

    btw good for eyes

  • @GeneralKazim Glad you like Table Tennis. I think it is a great game!

  • Penholder grip. That is all.

  • audio sux

  • @kennyken6667 yeah the audio was really bad on this one. We now have a microphone so our latest videos have a much better sound.

  • same here lol

  • They don't make anything!

  • thumbs up!

  • ive got an 9th place in my city's table tennis contest

  • @torkity im 8 in my zonals...

  • @abhinayan27 Can you tell me why is one side of bat red and one side black.. When should you use the red or black..

  • @Herrosivich doesnt matter whichevr u lyk....

  • @abhinayan27 Ok tnx.. I play against my friend once a week and he is winning most of the time with spins.. Could i use the forehand/backhand smash to counter his spins.. I must beat him.. Any tips for me?

  • @Herrosivich the top spin isnt difficult to pick just keep the racket/bat at an angle of about 40degrees and it can picked....no wonder champions smash it...

  • @Herrosivich The black side is a little harder, while the red is a little softer

  • @imfromswe96 Not really. If you go buy a ping pong paddle at the store they're most likely going to be the same on both sides. A company probably isn't going to put that much "technology" into a $15 paddle. If you design your own there's still no guarantee which side is softer or has more grip. Just depends on how you want your paddle to play. Normally you just use one side for forehand and the other for backhand and until you have a paddle with different sides you can face it either way.

  • @pingskills is it allowed in table tennis competitions to wear eyeglasses?

  • this videos are great, but this song is angry!

  • i watched most of the videos and truly appreciate these guys. Funny thing is this is so far the only video that the audio is not clear due to ball sound and the title is The most important skill in Table Tennis. but in any case.. i admire these guys and all other videos are pretty pro.

  • LISTO

  • Thank you, good work. Is important the contributions for you. Now I can not, but in other time I think ... not, I want to give you a contribution. Off course.

  • @1Snoop1dogg1 can you better grammer?

  • The most important skill is to be able to hit tha ball. After that, can u learn to play the game

  • Negative, you guys need more practice.

  • Lmao I thought they were gonna say "the most important skill is to nevah give up" or something cheessy...

  • -.- bad video study more!! -.-

  • I know alois has gone to the olympics i do group training with him

  • Definitely agree with this vid - not easy though!

  • lol, its funny how people thought this was going to be more sophisticated because its "the most important skill" but this video is perfectly right.

The more balls you get over, the higher the chance that your opponents going to miss it, its all about playing that extra ball

  • @free533 needs spin :)

  • It's boring

  • bring it!

  • this is a place to discuss the video , not to brag

  • where do you live, i'll whoop u.

  • These guys are extremely good players. I do believe one (or both) has gone to Olympics.

Not only are they extremely consistent, but they know how the stroke is performed.

Takes great skill to do something like this, but yes, it is the basics of the shot (depending on which video it is) but very necessary what they say.

  • Yeah, Alois Rosario did (right)

  • @1Jiller Jeff has gone to olympics as a player and Alex as coaching someone who went to the olympics=)

  • Frickin' YouTube! I went from watching Modern Warfare 2 videos to this... how does that happen!? >:/ Does it to me all the time lol

  • @muxishine lol same

  • ye same

  • @muxishine lol same. Mw2's awesome

  • @muxishine Nothing wrong with that, Youtube knows that only nerds watch modern warfare 2 videos, and it also knows that nerds love their ping pong.

  • @Shadrach1 lol nice...

  • @muxishine same thing happened to me

  • LOL

  • @muxishine wow, ive just done the same

  • @xDaalleeeeX lol, drives me nuts man.

  • this is a very nice video for the newest of beginners. Teaching a young kid is hard enough and this video was made purposely for that. More advance players will disagree but these are the baby steps. If you think you bad enough to make a better video, I highly challenge you to train someone who has never touch a racket in their whole life. That will send you straight to the bench and quit table tennis forever. Nuff said.

  • I completely agree...

  • Longest rally I've ever seen! ahhahaha

  • @burdi7

Funnily enough I agree, what you said is straight bullshit. I trained for a year when i was 15 just as suggested and didn't play again for nearly 20 years. Before going back to a centre for a night and amazingly enough won half of my games and come close on the rest. Good muscle memory wins games.

  • So I don't know who were you playing with. Such a training gives you completely nothing. I trained a lot as a child with my dad who was a junior master in our region 20 years ago. I find his trainings were very well, he quickly teached my how to hit the ball with a forhand-top-spin. At first my backhand was very poor, but then I learned it too. It took me about 5-6 years to play almost as good as he plays ( he's 48 now and he still often beats me). But I know I'm strong now

  • Oh? That must be why in every country on the planet religiosity and wealth are negatively correlated, right?

  • @123bshbsh123 shu* up

  • How is this hard at all? In my opinion the way you stroke doesnt matter if you get it over and can keep doing so, everyone has a different style.

  • most important skill is all round ability :O i reckon serve, sets the rest of the point up if you know what your doing but yeah consistency is important, don't wanna give free points away do you?

  • ja na unt das kann ich auch hin und her this is easy

  • I agree with them consistency is the most important thing is pretty much every sports to me

    Consistency and Control

What they did here is pretty much exactly what I do to help beginners off in table tennis, but these guys are at a way higher level than me

  • Being Australian myself, yes, i can confirm that they are both Australian, not NZ.

  • Im Australian too. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • they are, on the white guys shirt you can see the Australian symbol on in. Aside from the fact they he is wearing the Australian colours and has the accent.

  • You really suck in table tennis if you don't see how their strokes are near perfect, in terms of form they are pro or close to it, you would lose pretty bad vs these guys even if they didn't try

  • ahahhhaaahahah dumbass aahahhahahahah they were just demonstraiting basic hand motions ahahhahahahahhahahahah xDD dude i gotta read more from your comments this 1 nearly made my piss my self ahahahha

  • Lol they are doing rally so stop blaming them

  • you dont know what ur talking about

  • who are you shiting?

  • they are so gay

  • These guys sound like members of Flight of the Concords...

  • Personally, they sound Australian- not NZ.

  • i heard that good rackets also play an important role

  • Comment removed

  • I disagree you cant learn ping pong online you must (fight) you must feel it you must PLAY and PRACTISE!

  • confidence is important in every sport..

  • I race road bikes and what i do is envisage what im going to do b4 i start the race, much like a long jumper dose b4 he starts his approach to the sand pit. Although confidence is not technically a ''skill'' it dosen't hurt to have it.

  • that's not table tennis it's hitting a ball

  • lol, lots of people are bagging out these people, but have you seen their other videos. plus someone said swedes, where are the swedes in this video, pretty sure the one in green is aussie mate

  • they aren't actually trying

  • Retard, they are Australian and former pro players and now national coaches. If you listened instead of muting it, you would have heard that they were talking about CONSISTENCY practice.

  • that´´s shit the ball is to high

  • well I just wouldn't call that a skill...I'd call it the point of the game. Also, the strokes shown in the video are slowforehand and backhand counters...enough said.

  • Well this is just completely wrong. The most important skills in table tennis are probably the forehand out of the backhand corner and serve and service return. It's not just "getting the ball back on the table" because that has many skills in itself (pushing, looping, blocking, etc.) There are so many different skills in table tennis, and what is shown in this video is just combining all these skills in to one "super-skill" and calling it the most important...

  • Confidence isn't considered a skill.

  • Yes it does.

Cause even if you never get one ball pass, if your opponent is underestimating you, or thinking you suck, thinking he's better, that makes you win automatically. Not the match, but in your mind. Because the most important thing is to respect. If he/she can't respect you, you can just consider them as lost. Even if it isn't true. :]

  • "confidence isn't considered a skill"

well i get what your saying , think about this for a second

if i said throw a tennis ball in the air and catch it and i will give you a dollar ! You would do it easy

But if i said throw a tennis ball in the air and catch it or i will shot you in the face with my gun here ! You might find it hard to do , even though nothing has changed in regard to the skill required to catch a tennis ball . this is an example of where CONFIDENCE IS CERY IMPORTANT.

  • That neither makes it a skill, nor does it make it unique to table tennis. Confidence is important universally. It goes without saying.

  • That's more pressure than confidence i would say. Still a good theory and thumbs up xD.

  • There ARE no holes....

  • i think in order to get more confidence, you gotta practice more. burn a fire of interest.

  • Well somepeople just get confidence from the start :3

I kinda did. Cause I loved tennis and ping pong from the moment I layed eyes on it.
