I can't say I disagree completely, this is a completely different Joker. Not the sadisticly humorous one who kills masses with Joker Venom just because of a random thought.

However, it's still sort of the same concept, but with a more modern and demented twist.

He did a great job, and he portrayed the Joker in an interesting and very high class fashion, but Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the Joker is much closer to the original Joker that you see in the comics and cartoons. Now, there's no point in trying to argue with a bunch of Dark Knight fanboys that probably don't even know that Dark Knight is a sequel to Batman Begins. Sad world we live in.

I liked the Drak Knight but nothing compares to the Old school laugh made famous by Mark Hamill. I hated what the writers did to the joker! they ruined him! Let me explain before you gut me. Joker's number one weapon was "laughing gas" however in the Dark Knight there was only one scene but it was not laughing gas most like tear gas or something like that but yeah the writers killed the Joker in the Dark Knight

@deviss113789 Mark Hamill's Joker, while I do very much love it, is not the only "signature" Joker. The version he voiced is based almost directly off Tim Burton's rendition of Batman and Jack Nicholson's depiction of the Joker. Chris Nolan's Batman movies are derived from some of the more recent comic renditions that are far darker than earlier versions. Oh, and he does use the laughing gas in this, in the first scene. Unfortunately we don't get to see Will Arnet laugh from it, but it's there.
