The easier you make it on your brain the less frustrated you will get. They say that people who have guitar teachers that play the opposite way as you tend to learn faster. For example if your a righty and go to a lefty teacher you might have an easier time picking things up because your looking at a sort of "mirror image" across from you.

when you look at it from your own point of view as if you were holding the guitar its alot quicker to pick up. From playing for years and years I can watch someone across from me an learn it no problem but when your just learning the guitar it is very hard for your brain to flip everything around. The two most important things for learning guitar are technique & muscle memory.

this is how all instructional videos should be filmed.......unlike all the Stephan Grossman dvds that show an opposite view for you to rearrange in your head. when your facing a guitar player your brain trys to make up for it being the opposite way and just adds another dimension to the learning curve.
