I heard this song on a TV Show called the Royal Family, i asked a lady of many years about it and she sang it to me, i sobbed my heart out.
The tears are filling my eyes as i write this.

@maggie300 Maggie, Although adopted as an Irish song this song was written by Thomas Wetendorf in 1875, this grand old man was from the USA.
