  • @Executor2012 Alright, bro, and 149th and 3rd, Willis, Jackson, Simpson, Fox and Westchester!!!

  • they adopted a biker look , ..the gangs had an alternative style back then..

  • the good old days search google true riders united or facebook and you tube

  • i wish i was born in those years and had a gun (: that would be awesome shooting people who are trying to get top of your car

  • Nyc was crazy back then with mad bad gangs, even climbing up into people's windows!

  • @ksolomon16 snatchin yo people up so hide yo kids. hide yo wives and hide yo husbands.

  • Nyc was crazy back then with mad bad gangs!

  • Years ago there was documentary about the gang The Roman Kings I remember seeing it. Does anybody else out there remember this and know what I'm talking about

  • No 9mm here baby just fighting you might get a fair one.

  • Where do we go from here? With all of the opportunities that we have today, including help and information from the internet, I hope people learn to educate themselves so that they don't have to live in areas like this anymore. Back then, if you lost your job, it was almost hopeless. But today, we have so many resources available. I hope neighborhoods like this become a thing of the past. People should change their thinking to make the world a better place. HELP your brother, don't HURT him.

  • Those were the punks breaking into tenant's apartments and burglarizing everything in site in the Bronx back in the day (1970s) good riddance to them all. I lived there; the punk that stole the item from the vegetable stand and stuffed it in his comrade's face is doing 50 to life in NY state pen for double rape and homicide. F@#$! Punk - Killed to Puerto Rican girls 13 & 14 yrs old.

  • its from flyin cut sleeves

  • do anyone know what kind of music is it in the background..?? any music expert here??:)or do anyone know any artist doing this kind of music??:) im very grateful for any answers :)

  • Wo how fun of a time New York used to be. Just a bunch of grown up bullies, that play on the city like they played on the playground, thats kinda cool. THEM THANGS BITCH!

  • @m00se321 it wasnt i saw 80 blocks from tiffanys

  • @obadboystanley Isn't it called 90 blocks from tiffanys?

  • Blondie, King, Smokey, Spasm, THE LAST STOP !!!!!!

  • Sure sounds a lot like the music in the Warriors when they are in the Riff's headquarters. Maybe if these gangs still wondered the streets, the city of NY would be free of effin pussy yuppie-garbage??

  • The so-called gangs that're here today in NYC would get the fuck beat outta them within a heartbeat by the Savage Nomads,Savage Skulls,Black Spades,Black Pearls,Tomahawks,Satan Spades, and any other gang that were too dangerous to fuck with.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 So true. They don't have the balls to fight like real men. They hide behind tinted windows and drive by on the sneak and shoot everyone up and speed away as to avoid getting hurt. These guys actually fought.

  • @BreezesofConey Word. Now I dig where you're coming from.

  • It's amazing to see this world which didn't exist so long ago but seems to be more like 100 years in the past in contrast to the one that now lies over the old. How did the camera person get this footage??? They just let someone follow them around like that? And yes I wonder the same, these bad ass toughies had to pay someone to make their vests lmfao. Love seeing what it was really like and not just seeing some hollywood interpretation.

  • Whats the name of the documentary

  • @obadboystanley 80 blocks from tiffany's

  • How did they get their vests made?

  • Man, these guys came up with ALL kinds of names....

  • now we have the dominicans here doing the same thing like ricans. selling drugs.

  • this is old footage people wake the F88k up

  • nobody fucks with the Baldies

  • ignorant ricans low class animals. they should have stayed in puerto rico and not come to america to end up like this. they only breed more welfare and drugs

  • @Rico8458 your hatred is remarkably irritating. God save you if i run into you in the street.

  • That man's expression said it all(1:44-1:47). Wtf this worlds coming to?

  • softys to me . lol

  • where da cops at???? .......... if any group of ppl tried walkin round lik this now the cops would be all over theirr ass

  • They were bad then, but compared to today's gangs, i mean... you know... It would be a short ass battle, y'know?

  • the definition of grimy will change with every generation... i spent the 80's-90's in Flatbush Brooklyn. was wild and wooly, nobody wild's out anymore. there's still grimy behavior and crime but no more crews of 50 heads rolling down the street. and pretty much every neighborhood except maybe east new york and brownsville has completely changed. NY is full of non-NY'ers.

  • you right on that bruh these dudes today have no idea

  • Check out on youtube--Wheels of Soul MC 1%

  • yea but i like the unity in the crews they had bakk then....

  • jampec trogaz :D

  • they looked more like wild animals back then, roaming the streets with no care

  • WTF eating cabbage and catching rides on passing vehicles? Real bad dudes!! HHAAA.

  • boggie down bronx!!

  • i wish i was alive during those times

  • these mean mutha fuckas, but i like the savage nomads

  • oh and also. I asked before, under my other account name, but if anyone knows the name of this music piece that is playing, let me know. I want to find it on vinyl, if I can.

  • I remember seeing a picture of them in one of my criminal Justice books.

Why are they called Skulls. I could understand Savage because they were barbaric, and brutal but are they called skulls also because their gang symbol consisted of a skull?

  • night avenger, if you watch 80 Blocks from Tiffany's - it is on youtube. they interview them and one of them explains what it means.

  • a bag of dope was 2 dollars .i recall i was going to p.s.132 in washington st, bx and the drugys used to ask my mom they would watch get in school safe , i'll allways remember the Savage Skull's we used to watch them kick ass when there was a war w/stick ball bats ,chains , blades raelly you saw a zip gun , it had to be something big, not like the punks now a days

  • joehogan ur fucking stupid those bunch of kids were not to be fucked with the south bronx aint no joke.

  • Great footage...Thanks for the post!

  • bunch a kids. they aint so tough.

  • Yeah right, I guess you don't remember when those kids were shooting people with shotguns or the gestapo squads of the Savage nomads which chased the Italians back to the belmont section.

  • SALUTE AND MUCH LOVE! to the tha oringal 5ryders: egyptian kings/vampires,dragons,black spades/zulu nation,b.v.d,savage skulls, savage nomands, sex boys, decepticons, spanish kings, ghetto bros, brooklyn dukes, the majestics, the renegades, and the outlaws

  • brooklyn dukes? i remember them. brooklyn chicks is more like it.

  • Dirty Ones,Devils Rebels,ChingaLing Nomads,Savage Skulls,Savage Nomads,Most of them are Outlaw Biker Clubs now in New York,CHINGALING NOMADS are in the Bronx..

  • yeah iherd the savage skulls will be in the warriors new movie up in la in early 2009

  • ah man fuck that shit if its gonna be in LA it's gonna be wack...

  • those gangs had balls using their fists and stuff and now the present day gangs had to pussie it up by using guns drive by shootings and other pussie weapons. i wish the gangs were still like that fuckin guns

  • The Reagan and Bush Era ushered in crack cocaine and with the cocaine trade came all the crazy semi-automatic, and machine gun weaponry that was being used all through Columbia, and Brazil. I can remember when I was little neighborhood crews of 25 to 30 kids would come to either jump or bang with another crew but today that would never happen because the guns are everywhere. Back then it may have been a zip gun, or a Saturday night special but nothing that can keep spitting rounds out.

  • The gangs now days did not invent drive by shootings the Italian gangsters back in the 20s and 30s did. In a fight four on one is pretty pussy if you ask me!

  • oh really

  • Yeah really - check your history. I love the style of the old time gangsters - they did drive bys with Tommy Guns (Thompson Machine Guns). There is nothing like two men that have a beef fighting it out but that only happens in the movies usually the guy winning the fight gets jumped by the other guys friends if your with a bunch of guys that are like minded (criminals - thugs etc.) it is never one on one for long.

  • Yeah that Thompson Automatic butchered a lot of People. It seems like after every War there is a huge surplus of weapons put on the streets. The end of World War I brought the Tommy, World War II brought the standard 45, Vietnam brought the M-16 to the for front, the Drug Wars brought Uzi's, and Mack-10's. What will Iraq bring back to us?

  • "weapons of mass destruction"

  • Dream on, the Irish and Jewish mobs were doing drive bys before Italians were even in America.

  • First "gangland" style drive-by shooting was in new york in 1910 I belive

  • Super Video

  • these kinds of gangs were so much sicker then mordern gangs today

  • I wonder if they have a Biker Club Charter!!

  • niggy nice obviously hasnt spent much time in s bx. you might be thinking of bklyn fool. yeah its not beirut anymore but youll still get ya wig split. not a preppy for about a hundred blocks

  • The New One is going to be in Los Angeles.

  • ANIMAL KINGDOM

  • NY is gully

  • was gully, preppy now...

  • ye i guess most cities are like that

  • savage nomads blinky know him? post hear

  • I've heard of him, but dont know him.

  • woah you had to have alot of guts to wear a outfit like that because my dad told me around that time cops were tracking down gang members, not just the Savage Skulls but for any gang like that. Today any person can just wear a rag and say their in a gang when they probably aren't and if the cops are near by just put it away :S

  • Mucho Repect to the -CHINGALING NOMADS- Mc,Bronx.

  • da those days were crazyy they really bang out

  • them we're the Day's they did'nt Shoot you because a a Rag,they we're tough Kids.they fought fist to Fist!!Ganbanger's now drive by shoot you !!they had Ball's in those day's too wear Patches, they were more Organized!

  • Old School New York City gangs from 1972

  • oh right just because the video has a car from the 40's means its from the 40's right? Besides New York wasn't like this in the 40's.

  • Chingaling Nomads,Aliens,Savage Nomads,Majestics,There still hear, but now there Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs.

  • Wats up my people's, u are right except for SAVAGE NOMADS we are not a motorcycle club , just OUTLAW BROTHERS.!

  • That's right. I think the Motorcycle Club was just called the Nomads. The Savage Nomads were a gang from Bronx, and some from around 184th Street Manhattan (Washington Heights)

  • skulls , boricua gang, nyc

  • How come I thought the Savage Skulls were an exclusively Black gang? This looks pretty well integrated. At least it was an equal opportunity thing :-)

  • The Skulls were always mostly hispanic from it's origin. In The Bronx at least. The Jamaica, Queens Savage Skulls were all black.

  • Damn Jamaica QUeenz had Savage SKullz??? makes me wonder if Corona Queenzs had any crazy yo

  • Corona had a phony Savage Skull Division.

Jackson Heights,East Elmhurst, and Jamaica were the only real Skulls out of Queens

  • Correction from my last comment.

The only Savage Skulls in Queens were from Jamaica. In Jackson Heights and East Elmhurst, those were Savage Nomads.

  • savage skullz were a rival for people in corona back then

  • Nah we had it all, I chinese and was in it for a while

  • Check out the Savage Skulls web Page!!

  • The reason why Hip Hop esists is because these gangs caused so much havoc in nYC creating a social shift. Its ironic Hip Hops origin was so anti-gang and now it is gang dominated...

  • @DJA1970

    so true, sadly...

  • IT LOOKS LIKE THEREALLIFE WARRIORS

  • It was worst than real life warriors. These dudes were rough South Bronx Puerto Ricans. Real Ricans - long before you heard the term Boriqua, at least in the City of New York. I believe Boriqua is a Puerto Rico thing. They were no joke. I believe they use to bumb heads with the Black Spades in the 70's. Cats use to get busy with led pipes, brass knuckles, blades & their fist. None of this faggot gun shit. Any punk can shoot a pistol.

  • was it the black spades or black aces, anyways i hear you, tuff SOB'S, thats when a rumble was a rumble. Most of these so called thugs for lifers would run like scared bunnies, back in those days.

  • It was the Black Spades. They were the largest black gang in the Bronx. One of the largest in the city. I read about them going down to Coney for a rumble once. The writer said some of the chicks looked harder than the dudes.

  • @jetshull Word.

  • damn! i hear you dog

  • Word man real gangs won't use guns in fights all the time. They go at it fist to fis with bats, pipes, leadpipes, sticks, and blades.

  • Fuckin' right man. Back then shit was heavy. Back then you fucking showed who owned the block by using your fists. Back when you used to get up close and personal. Back when muscle meant something.

  • @AssOnAPlate187 looks like some over grown kids hahhahahahahhahahahhahahahhaahaahhahahahahhahahahahhaha gay

  • @AssOnAPlate187 Now it's brains?

  • @mansonvil

    Now it's rate of fire.

  • @AssOnAPlate187 More like it : )

  • @ectigers83 That's right.

  • hey Survey, the soundtrack is some old Fania All Stars track for sure, check out the Our Latin Thing documentary

hey anyone have this 80 Blocks From Tiffany's documentary online somewhere? if so pleasee let me know!

  • Its on youtube. Just do a search for it.

  • Its like going back to the good old glue sniffing days of the past. All for 15 cents & 2 No.2 Bags Ha ha

  • they look like the warriors

  • you all should check out 80 Blocks From Tiffany's if you can find it.

  • where did u get this shit to bad it aint like dat no more

  • Man! I'm from The Bronx & when I look at that, I think two things: What was I doing during the making of that film & where are those gang members today?

  • this is heavy. amazing stuff! what is the soundtrack!

  • NYC was crazy in the day!

  • seriously it's like watching real life a day in the life of the warriors
