The cameras on the MERs are actually pretty good. Remember, these are cameras that have to survive a year or so flying through space, a descent through the martian atmosphere, a while spent bouncing around on the surface of Mars, the low pressures and temperatures present on Mars, AND they have to go on working for years despite no maintenance whatsoever, given that the nearest repair shop is about 200 million kilometers away. With that in mind, they've actually managed pretty darn well.

I don't think the mars rover uses conventional pressured air tiers, rather a non hollow weel made of durable materials. Also for thoes who asked, the rover harvests sunlight throught it's solar panels and uses that to charge it's batteries.

its amazing that the rover can move that well thru all them big rocks everywhere on mars, shows that Nasa made a good program for the rover since it takes at least 22 mins for a signal to go one way from mars to earth and back so thats a lag of at least 45 mins for the rover to get and instructions from home base

@Flashingflash The wheels are actually made from anodized aluminium to help prevent the rover from getting caught in the airbags while leaving it's platform. Also helps for digging, which is another thing the wheels are used for.
