@diklashem11 YUSUF ALAWAD was borne in bagdad at summer 1920 to a canun musucian father by the name YACOV ,he past away in Iraqe . my father came to israel whith a band of musicians but the arab music and this folklor wasn't loved by israeli people at that time but my father had a vision to continue this music tradition .since the 50ts to 2000 he made incradible effort study and teaching this music , espesialy the AUD

@diklashem11 .houndrets of studets past by my father teaching lessons.he had the onor to see his working sucsses at the first AUD festival that took place in jerusalem 1995 which he was involved in and also his students that are wellknown today.

i dont know what you have in jordan but you can find it online on the net, amazon or itunes, the best albums are in yair dalal's albums called asmar and the 2nd samar

Yosse shemtov (Alawad) was born in baghdad 1922. he was playing in coffees since he was 12 and was named as "yossef alawad". he played with salima morad, layla hilmi.

He left to Israel in 1952 and had a difficult life there due to the sudden cut from the life as famous iraqi artist. Laterly he was played for the orchestra of radio "voice of israel" in arabic.

a great composer and virtouse, he died in 2007 god bless his soul, Thanks you Yossef for ur hreat contribution, may you rest in peace.
