  • @tiannamama1 Shame your grandma did raise her grandchild with some manners.

  • @tiannamama1 yea we must have been some of the last cotton pickers in the mid 60's ha ha we must have bought the last sacks they made. i still remember the creaking sound the triple leg scale made when we weighed.i'm glad i can say we lived in a little wooden house and picked cotton. nice to know bout your grandma life was harder back then. :)

  • 31 peolple don't LOVE cottonfields :PP

  • ...Damn, this song completely reminds me of growing up in Latvia in the 1990's. Pickin' beets and cabbage on the eastern-european plan. So proud that the CCR's were Baltic Brothers from Lithuania, So many mistakenly believe that they were from US!! Not so fast......By the way.....we are going to kick everyone's a** in the next world cup!!

  • @densls1 they were from California wth are u talkin about Lithuanian

  • dylan's version when them cptton balls get rotten you can't shoot that much....

  • @ajweberman Doesent make much sense lol

  • @TexianPride What does?

  • Good times when real music exists

  • This was Michael Jackson's lullaby as a baby. His mother would sing it to him as she cradled him in her arms. :')

  • My pops used to play this song when I was a kid, brings back good memories of me hanging with my father.

  • CUANDO ERA UN JOVENCITO ALLA EN PENUELAS AGUASCALIENTES MEX MI QUERIDO EJIDO DE PENUELAS AGS NO SAN ANTONIO DE PENUELAS

  • My family were land holders back in in mid 1800s we lost everything thanks to the damn yankees invasion we had to leave everything and moved to Texas we still got family back in Tennessee that live near our old land its been settled now its got a modest town on it now.

We got to be sharecroppers my family just got off hard farming two generations ago.

    Been small town folk since.

    Pretty cool story huh ;)

  • 31 people clearly dont like classic good music

  • nigger

  • I grew up in Alabama. In the 60's none the less.

  • CCR was with me from the Nam to the Balkans. They helped me make through some bad nights. Music does soothe the savage beast.

  • how could anybody dislike ccr? i honestly don't know anybody who does not like them at all.

  • Na b awełnianych polach śpiewano Dom wschodzącego słońca .

  • Man, this real music sure sounds great..it is as fresh today as it was forty years ago!

  • what alot of people don't understand is that after the civil war," sharecropping "was another word for "slavery"

  • @gotch09 there were a lot of white sharecroppers

  • @psychedelicsam1 I know. I grew up down South.

  • @gotch09 yep, same here

  • American citizen living in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central America:

Nothing is as worse as realizing just how much you had until you no longer have it. When I return to you, my dear glorious America, I will spend the rest of my life with my head held up to God and the words "thank you" whispered, in awe, on my lips.

  • its a song, not the bible. listen to the song for what it is. stop thinking its about anything but entertainment.

  • I cried to this song when i was little and i am happy when i listen to this song. (i'm 15)

  • all of this new music; dubstep, auto tuned crap like justin bieber or people with clearly no talent (Jedward) is utter crap compared to the good old classic music like Creedence, im so glad iv had the chance to appreciate quality music :)

  • @Naitonator what's a bieber?

  • @fuckingbloodeagle Oh you know, flat tails, big front teeth, build dams.

  • @Naitonator I totally agree with you. You know, everyone today can sing good, IF they are auto tuned, but as soon as they go live, there are only a few who can sing. In the old days there was no computers to auto tune them, so i'd say that old songs is from people with a true voice, and not some computer-faked voice. But i'm glad we have computers today, so we can go to youtube and listen to the true classics whenever we want to :)

  • @rcboy121 I totally agree:)

  • @rcboy121 word bro. though life change so does music. But I must admit, I REALLY wanted to had seen em live. probs in the cotton field back home you know ;)

  • @rcboy121 Possibly the best explanation of modern music v classic rock i have ever heard.

  • @Naitonator Dubstep aint no crap, atleast not compared to justin the lesbian beaver.

  • @YUAFK hey man you shouldn't say that your going to piss off the lesbians

  • @Kira2354 lolol

  • This is the shit.

  • OMG !!! this song makes me want to grab the ole brown jug and take me a big ole swig !!!!! good stuff right there !!!! peace out !!!

  • Whish I lived in those days, but no, god wanted me to live in the 21th century, with hightech things and music based on so much bass and scream you could do. Why was'nt I born when there was fun to live?

  • @sjogge123 hey babe, we still growin cotton down here, whats stoppin ya??

  • me re gusta.

  • Cuando apenas era un jovensito, mi mama me decia mira hijito, si un amor tratas de encontraaar.... buajajaja amo las dos versiones!!!

  • estupendo, esto se llama musica

  • In their heyday, there was nowhere you could go & not hear a Creedence song playing on a jukebox somewhere. Much of the attraction of their music is the rawness & the simplicity of the music itself. The guitar break sounds like a throwback to the mid 1950's, & just listen to the sound! That's where the addictivness is in this music. Today, everyone wants to be so technically bloody perfect that we've lost that "magic" we had once. It's not too late to turn it around.....hopefully.

  • @eldorado62 babe, i love CCR but if ya wanna hear the raw, listedn to this by leadbelly

  • 27 dislikes, are you god damn deaf. This is some of the best stuff you will ever hear.

  • Please, generation of the "summer of love," who lived in these times, protesting the injustice of the generation that was, help us all. You who protested so loudly the times in which your youth flourished as young blooms; now you are the financiers, the Wall street Traders, the high powered lawyers, the politicians whom you once denounced. Help us by looking inside yourselves and the passion you once held so dearly.

  • Its about COTTON Fields! Not slavery! Chill out oversensitive white people trying to make black people like you.

  • @Cheesebonerable thank you for putting a valubale point to fucking idiots who belive that they have to talk about black people all the time god bless CCR greeting from england

  • Yeehaw, youall shit kickers jest gotta stomp yer clogs alonga thet, huh ?

  • Just learned about the United States civil war and the slavery back in the 1860's.This song always reminds me of that, although im finnish and don't relate to them in any way.All i can say is:Thank you CCR for this music.

  • @DJMushroom64 Yep slavery was nasty buisness Im the decendant of a southern family who owned slaves back when.

My family fought hard in that war story goes when we freed ourslaves after the war we paid them wages and they stayed on as farm hands.

Ive allways taken comfort in the fact my family and its formor slaves got along after the war.
