This is the type of dialect spoken by some, but not all Italian Americans. Funny or not people should try harder to retain standardized Italian. It is both a very important and beautiful language when it is spoken by educated Italians. And it is not too difficult to learn. There are many on line You tube channels you can study Italian from. Latin is the foundation for Italian, French, Spanish, Romanian, Portuguese, Corsican, Romansch. 70% of the English language is derived from Latin.
