Adobe Illustrator CS5 - Perspective drawing

I like your work, say, how do you attach your text to the perspective grid?

I've tried clicking on attach to active plane but that doesn't seem to work.

I've also tried using the 3D function under the effects menu but to no avail.

how you insert the images in perspective mode ?

I try open image file but can't use Perspective selection tool with the image :(

also i made the image file to symbols . when i choose Perspective selection tool . It 've shown error  message " Symbols containing Rasters ............ "

the only thing I didn't like was the yellow lines on the street. Looks as if they didn't match up with the angle. Otherwise great job.

would someone know why I'm having a problem with bringing in a object with transparent background from photoshop to illustratorCS5 ? (with CS5 it gets a white background by itself, which never happened with CS4)

is that hard to do? and what is a vector? because everyone talks about vectors. I am just downloading the trial and am wondering if its worth the full price

@ParkerLiberty vectors are "scalable graphics", so you can draw them, resize them, and you won't lose any information. The graphics have a set of mathematical numbers that determine their size and shape. Scale up or down, doesn't matter.

"Pixel graphics" are not scalable (think Photoshop). You can't add information to pixel graphics, you can only reduce, or take away. You know when a Jpeg image gets all bitmappy or pixelated, that's because the image is made up of a series of dots (pixels).
