Before the upgrades it was dead man, no guts at all. Now it's rideable. My KLX450R is scary fast, the 250, well my wife thinks it's scary :-)

I replaced the snorkel (top of airbox) with a snorkel from a KDX200 - part# 14073-1577.

nah klx450 isnt street legal , it doesnt have the brake lights, blinkers, or mirrors, but then again, nothing illegal unless you get caught

KLX's are beutiful bikes, just the right size- If they just had a extra 100cc they would be awesome.

How about an extra 200cc. Then you have a KLX450! I have one, awesome bike!

I am looking for a larger gas tank for my 06 klx250s too. i found a few on the internet. but a 2 gallon gas tank is tiny even without mods letalone with them.

do you have trouble with your sidestand? mine falls over all the time,its foot is too small and i find its mounted back far on the frame! wont sit well on anythyhing but rocky ground or cement!

No, we had the bike lowered for my wife and I shortened the stand and welded a on a larger foot...

Say what Dynojet kit did you use? I can't seem to find one for the KLX 250s on their website. I'm in the process of doing the same mods to my 2007KLX. What did you do to the air box

The kit is for a 97-07 KLX300, part#2206. The KLX250s is based of that bike and share a lot of parts. I replaced the snorkel with a snorkel from the KDX200 - part# 14073-1577. Also put an adjustable fuel screw in at the same time from Koubalink - part #FS-3. Good luck with the install.

I have a stock bike, yes it will wheelie - in first gear from no more than 5kph rolling start lol

Changing rear sprocket helps a lot

Hey, is that Two Bros unit just the exhaust (i.e. last ~12 inches), or did you get a whole new pipe, from engine all the way out? Do you estimate a couple hp gain? Sounds very cool....

Yes, just the cannister. I estimate with the pipe, the jetting and the airbox mods, that she gained close to 3 hp. Two brothers dyno chart show's almost 2 hp gain, with the pipe alone. You can feel the difference. It really woke the bike up.

How does your KLX250 go? I'm thinking of buying one, I heard they lack horsepower. Can it do wheelies?

It's the wife's bike. It rips after the mods I did. Stock was a different story. It lifts the front wheel now, did not before.
