That dog exhibits the terrier part of its breed . A lot of APBT and Amstaffs are born this way and can be the gamest of all as they are faster than the more muscular pups that can be in the same litter. My dog took after his more athletic mother while his father resembled a Brahma bull and never really ran, jumped or anything. He was the stock everyone wanted pups from as he was broad and had a big head. If it didn't come from a breeder they can look like anything.

got to ask what is an amstaff? i have a staff(bull terrier) and a masstaff(staff x bullmastif) is this dog a cross breed or is it just a different name for staff as he looks very much like our uk staff breed.lovely dog anyway n he does seem very happy to climb that tree for his ball

Gorgeous dog! What great exercise and that is awesome enrichment for him! He is so lovely and fit. After he got his ball he wasn't coming near you again he's like you are not putting that back in the tree.

My dog would take his ball and run as well. He would stay about 40 feet away from me in the yard and keep the ball with him. He would even take it into the pool so I couldn't get it. He let me play fetch with him. Amstaffs will exercise their owners as well as themselves. Bulldogs rule.

really?with that mix of breeds it should be super hyper.i have a staffy and 1/4 ridgeback and she never stop playing and zooming around the place and boy is she fast,and people think GSD's are fast they have not seen a rigdeback lol.since we got her we have been finding lots of dead birds around the yard all of a sudden LOL.the only problem is that she has a strong prey drive and goes crazy and the sight of birds

She was 3 when I got her and she had been abused.

Won't walk out a half open door, flinches a lot, had over grown dew claws, a hernia and was so dry her snout was grey and her ears were torn at the edges.

The only toy she likes is an old teddy bear and she hasn't even ripped it up in the year + that ive had her.

a pitbull terrier is not the same as an american staffordshire terrier... allthough they look quite the same and many dogs can be blends(sry bad spelling, sucks at enlgish) amstaffs are bigger and considered more stable than pitbull terriers. only reason the amstaff became illegal in norway was that when the pitbull became illagel, criminals(who often facny the pitbull for fihtign and stuff) imnported pitbulls and called then amstaffs :) i read somewhere that amstaffs are rated 2. best fam. dog.
