This is such a dangerous area.. I fish around here alot, and I always see the yellow and red boats speeding by at top-speed.  Those guys throw wakes out that knock people off the docks! Even experienced surfers generally stay away.

the lifeguards usually dont go outside on days like this thats why its red flag...they warn u when u paddle out that they wont come to get u if its super dangerous...theres a boat out farther so the ppl surfin it can help each other out if someones fucked up...so the lg's def arent on the same level as guards at pipe or waimea

This is the best Wedge trailer. It's simply amazing the best to have someone else take the risk out there and so many of them all of a sudden. I won't go more than 9 feet in SoCal except point breaks but I best have 7.5 feet so I can do my thing best, too rare. I am scared of drowning in big waves but I can swim down deep fast. It might only seem that new surfers are apathetic to take big risks, but if they are not drowning then maybe not

Been there in the water when it was big. Freakin' scary. I paddled for my life, didn't go after waves, they went after me. I was content riding the giant elevators and being baptized by giant spindrifts. Unforgettable!
