I saw Talk Show open up for the Foo Fighters in NYC, and the crowd ruined their set by chanting "WEILAND! WEILAND! WEILAND!!" Throwing shit @ the singer, etc... It was a shame, their set was AWESOME, and most of the crowd missed it.
@1978Reject Dude..... that musta sucked. I know that when this album came out, I would have went to see a Talk Show show in a NY minute. Now, I guess I'm hearing that I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the show if I wanted to!
@runthemachine Yup. Crowd ruined it...I was dying to see what STP would be like without Scott Weiland, but the crowd drowned out most of the set. Foo Fighters were great - it was the 90's, so no stadiums yet!
Dave Coutts is not bad, but it's not great either. The most remarkable thing about Talk Show is the music. The DeLeos, plus Eric Kretz, are just fucking great doing music together, with or without Scott Weiland.
@Gustavo3575 I most definitely agree with you about that.Although i love Stone Temple Pilots, i think that the rest of the members should have moved on without Scott Weiland.. Due to all the stuff they have had to go through due to his substance abuse problems.
I think Talk Show and Army of Anyone just to to show how much fans relate to the frontman, more than they do to the rest of the band. I think Velvet Revolver was a bit of an exception because Slash is so recognizable. No slam on any band or singer, just stating an opinion. That being said, I would give up a year of my life to see Army of Anyone put out new material.
this singer is really good, he is not scott, but this is stp, the deleo bros, they are stp and this band, i love this song, and this whole album, listen to john, end of the world, great stuff
... everybody flaming Dave Coutts vocals. Trifling, yo.
No, he was NOT Scott. And....??? So fucking what? I thought he was just fine, and I love the sound of all things DeLeo (certainly to include Army of Anyone. People gonna rip Richard Patrick's vocals too? Because he's not Scott Weiland??? What-the-fuck-ever... get over yourselves.).
Shit, I'm glad the DeLeo's did SOMEthing while Scotty was getting more rehab. Love Weiland, but... while he may be STP's 'signature', he's not the whole band.
@runthemachine Actually, Scott is STP without him, his drama, his issues STP would be ...Talk Show ...a decent band w/ a OK song and no legs what so ever. You know if they the band took off they would have dumped Scott. As far as Army of Anyone goes great album with an artist with cred. Much like velvet revolver. Now I'm sure the lead singer of Talk Show is happy for his moment in the sun but get real he sounds like someone doing stp Kareoke in a dive bar in Encino
@luckymincer I GUESS I hear what you're screamin', but... seriously?? No legs?? Without Scott, the DeLeos are... 'decent'?? wtf?... you're shitting me, right?? I s'pose I can agree with your stance that without Scott's "drama & issues" there is no STP. I mean, Scott certainly embodies STP.. but it sounds like you're saying that withOUT Scott, the Deleos are merely... mediocre?? Wow.
And Army of Anyone... does Richard not bring his OWN "drama & issues"? And Ray Luzier is WAY more than "cred". Wow
@luckymincer Scott is a good singer i will give him that. But to say that he is Stp is absurd you're not giving the other members the credit that they deserve for being great.
I heard this song and bought the CD the same day.....hadn't done that since i heard 'tristessa' by Smashing pumpkins. The song just reaches out and grabs you.
Guitarist and Bassist Dean and Robert DeLeo previously with Stone Temple Pilots made this as a side thing. Unfortunately this didn't get that much attention but then went on to make a kick ass album with singer Patrick from Filter and drummer from David lee Roth in a band Called ....Army of anyone. If you like this you will love AOA!!!
The brothers once again will be with STP as the CD is released May of 2010...
@chicagogreendesign Eric Kretz was also in Talk Show. But, I disagree. I thought AOA was terrible. Talk Show is what AOA SHOULD'VE sounded like, considering Richard Patrick is an amazing singer, and Rob and Dean are awesome at what they do.
@MOHaraProductions: heresy. Army of Anyone was one of the few records of the last decade which really was a classic for all time. Still, each to their own, I guess.

It's really a shame that the Deleo's did this song w/ Talk Show. As an STP song, it wouldf have been a huge radio hit.

This is better than any of the new STP stuff, they should dump scott, he's a pissant

No I loved it and anything the DeLeos do. They're big Zep heads anyhow even if they really won't admit it and I love Zeppelin.
