  • So many simmers and non pilots posting on here.Makes me laugh.

  • That was not a close call. That 747, if thats what it is, was well outside of FAA mandated traffic seperation rules.

  • Just Wasted 14 seconds of my life...make it a minute.. since im taking the time to post this

  • So high school and naive and his/her first flight and video.....Please post Ytube with something of significance/importance/enjoyment/excitement/unusual... Obviously a learning experience for you....but really,.... get real.

  • if he wasn't on flight following... then yea... that's definitely close enough to be scary.

  • Holy shit!! I'm reporting this to the FAA! LOL!

  • i have close encounters every day at that distance !! DAHHHHHHH

  • piper meridian? Mirage?

  • Thats not very close I fly in LA near A340 A380 and 747 on approach to HHR all day long and they are a lot closer than that. Come Fly 100 feet from LAX Class B at hawthorne or santa monica airport

  • close enough to make a mistake... those of you who are not pilots need to understand everything that comes into play while flying.. 500 feet down may seem like a long way but trust me its not. also that jet stream can trail behind a long way, a small mistake can have you dropping rapidly trying to obtain glide slope etc... you dont want to end up in the wash in a plane that small... it wasnt really a close encounter but enjoy the video and stop complaining.

  • what a load of rubbish jet stream is a high altitude wind, if you mean wake turbulence there is nil danger from an aircraft below on a crossing track at crz speed.

  • lol jetsteam, didnt know he was worried about weather in this video. Wake turbulance.....wingtip vortices....thats more like it. A commerical pilot knows how to avoid wake turbulance and procedures incase of encountering it. Nice call with the wash there goose LOL

  • Yeah, real "close call" you retards.

  • Junk

  • You were a lot closer to the ground than to the airliner...

  • He wasnt that close, and he was more than likely IFR, meaning that he would be, depending on his heading (by regulations) either 500 below you or 1500 below you if you were VFR. And if you were IFR you shouldnt have been looking out the window, and ATC is 100% responsible for maintaining your separation from other IFR traffic.

  • That traffic was a clean 3-4 possibly even 5 miles away, but its hard to judge this because of human depth perception abilities. THIS WAS NOT A CLOSE CALL.

  • No, that's not close, even in aviation terms.

  • did u chase him? haha

  • Maybe not close in everyday terms, but in aviation terms, that is close.

  • dude...that was like 10 miles away...not close

  • Not that close. :)

  • pffffffffffffff hehehehe that wasnt close.

  • what a douch bag

  • Holy crap!!! It was so close you could see the terrified looks on the passengers faces!!!!

  • Yes ... in fact, think I saw the pilot jettison!

  • WOW!!! He couldn't have been more than 10-15 miles away! What a NAIL biter! (YAWN)

  • nah he was closer than that

  • Sorry. Not even close..........

  • blimey, the TCAS would not even be in the yellow!!!!

  • dude, that 747 was WAYYYYYYYYYY far out.
