@unclebud99 buffalo trace is one of the best imo....from what ive tried...better than woodford i think....but wild turkey 101 is still right at the top imho...but buffalo has to be one of the most complex and interesting bourbons ive ever had....what do you think?
that being said Jack is low to mid shelf whiskey that just has great marketing. Charcoal mellowing can suck it because Bulleit is smoother while still having a rich spicy character.
Allow me to make a comment in the most non- offensive way I can about this subject. Jack Daniels is in no way shape or form bourbon. A bit off topic from the video yes, but some of these comments might give someone the wrong idea.
@fatguyonthc If you want the real truth, Jack Daniel's whiskey is a bourbon in every respect, just with the the addition of filtering through sugar maple charcoal. For this reason alone they get to call tennessee whiskey, which is not actually a legal definition.
It's waaayyy better than jack, not really sweet like maker's, but almost the same level of quality. You can taste the rye pretty well, so it has a distinct taste, and it's got a good bite to it, a little spice/heat. Jack doesn't really taste like anything to me except water and plastic.

Got s a nice warm feelin' to it afterwards. I always like to think of Lewis and Clark and their journey to the "frontier". I heard that each man in the corp got a cup of whiskey every night. Damn!!!!!!!
I had this for the first time last night...good stuff. However, I didn't like it as much as Buffalo Trace.

this is the best bourbon i've ever tried, and i've tried a lot.
wild turkey 101 is damn good, too, but i'd take bulleit over WT any day.

thats why I bought it , it's good stuff but any whisky will blast your ass and always is hard to drink. Right up there with the Jack
