@XinvalidnameX for $200 its just easier to get a laser then to assemble one at that price. You pay $60 for the diode alone and then the drivers and batteries and lenses they start to add up. If you buy a diode and you have not used that type of diode it can also be hard to set it right for the first run. I build my own lasers and will eventually build myself a blue 445 nm TEC lab laser, I also opted to buy the arctic art for $200, and i'll take on your laser knowledge on any day.
