@pingon55555 it took me 2 weeks to get the settings right for my motherboard and cpu for it to be stable (no blue screens etc) and was very much a trial and error thing.
I only tried the easytune auto OC software once and it blue screened my pc at 3.8ghz so i just learnt how to do it myself.
the problem is what settings work for one person may well not work for someone else so the only help i can give is if you find an overclocking forum for your motherboard and cpu and ask for help.
I had my i5 2500k ocd to 5.0ghz and got 7.95 score. 7.55 @4.7ghz and 7.05 @4.4. But i'm running an Asus p8p67 pro mobo with latest bios. Your score is also dependent on the "Silicon lottery". You might get a good chip that oc's better than your friends. But either way for $220 this cpu is a monster.
Hilarious watching you retards arguing over e-peen scores in Cinebench. The i7 only does better because Cinebench is a heavily multi-threaded synthetic benchmark, thus taking advantage of the i7's Hyperthreading. But the i7 2600K is nothing more than an i5 2500K with Hypertheading. The i7 2600K is fucking pointless for gaming; Hyperthreading isn't even utilized by games. Bench both in games and they get the SAME exact performance. Idiots.
@leezaal yeh i troll about stuff i dont understand like Justin Beiber and Glee, I know plenty about computer components and hardware, so please take my comment seriously. These i5's are SHIT!! my fucking i7 gets your score at stock.
@YonOtto why post negative comments like i5's are shit !....are you a child trolling or something? you like your i7 cpu which ever one it is and i like my i5 2500k...big deal more important things in life to worry about chap.
mines rock solid at 4.7ghz which was unthinkable just a couple of years ago. it plays any game smooth and the only difference is IF yours is a 2600k it will encode a video about 1min quicker. it isn't going to play a game any better at all.
@YonOtto is obviously an attention starved teen with no real knowledge. just what he has seen on other YouTube videos in which he has carried over here and claimed are his own findings.
@YonOtto I'm not denying that its an inferior chip. I myself also have an i7. However a rig that i'm building for someone is running the 2500k and it is far from a bad processor. It still stomps anything AMD has to offer and any of the older Intel chips. It may be less of a performer than the i7 but I think thats the point. The i5 targets the mid-upper range of the market. People who have less of a budget, but demand decent performance. Troll on bro
so if its the same chip down clocked and with a locked multi that would explain the much lower score, not sure why the other guy was saying it scored way more unless he got his 1055T mixed up with the 1090T OCed to 4.2. that would make sense.
@danthemanzizzle Seen a video of a AMD Phenom II X6 Thuban 1090T 4.2ghz Asus Crosshair IV running Cinebench 11.5 on youtube and it scores 7.6 but the other guy said his 1055T scores same as mine which is simply not true as here on youtube they score around 5.5 even on win 7 x64
@midnit19 sorry dont believe you..... proof please, post a video of it. i have seen other 1055t videos on here at 4.1 and 4.2ghz and they only score around .5.5 on cinebench 11.5. So my 4 core 4 thread cpu easily beats an AMD 6 core cpu. i uploaded another video of my 2500k at 5ghz and it scores 7.80 on cinebench 11.5 check it out.
What is your vcore for 4,7 Gghz? :)

What guide/program did you use to OC your CPU? I hear TouchBios it's pretty good, what do you think?

@leezaal
Meh, I thought I could OC my PC in one day without much tweaking :(
pingon55555 3 months ago
@pingon55555 you might have better luck than i did with one of the auto software OC programs.
Just saying that my P67 motherboard and bios were a bit shaky so i ended up having to do it manually.
Hopefully you will fair better with a software solution, cant hurt it try it i guess

Ïf you do the run without recording you'll get much higher results. I get 11.50+ on my system right now @ 4.62GHz :D

@leezaal there is a 1055T scoring 7.23 at 4.1 Ghz, so its realistic that it can score 7.6 at 4.2ghz... dont you think? watch?v=QirPq-AndwY

my i7 at 4,7ghz gets a smooth 9.17... put your n00b CPU down and get a pro CPU ;D
