GIMP Tutorial: Sparkle Effect

I really like the 'sparkle' effect...can you show how to "GROW" a circular text so that it is thicker around my logo? what I mean is, I have text 'around ' my logo (circling my logo)...how do you make the text thicker? thanks so much...by the way, I really think you have a 'gift' of teaching. Thank you for sharing.

If you don't have an internet connection, you can always do this -

Filters > Animation > Playback > Play

It should start up.

I think I can tell you how.

Try making all the text layers, and duplicate it enough if you want it to sparkle randomly, and make some of them invisible... Yeah if you dont get that, sorry.

An easier way to flip txt vertically>> After duplicating txt layer, then choosing duplicated layer, move txt below the word and go to Layers>Transofrm>Flip Verticaly. You'll see that you just elimanated an extra step in flipping the word for the upside down mirror effect.

That was cool. Try lowering the opacity of the reflection though so it looks more like a reflection instead of just the letters flipped upside down.
