To all of those saying they should use the money they are putting into these videos and send it to Uganda. IF it were not for these videos, they would not have received the money that they have thus far. This is Information Age, and this organization uses its grass roots ability in the area of cinema to get the word out. It is much the same way as early charity organizations went door to door, or put flyers on cars, etc. Just look at the amount of views each of these videos is getting.
if you watch this video, go on facebook and search for chase community giving. Donate your vote to invisible children to win 1,000,000. Today is the LAST day to vote and IC is in first place but it won't be for long without more votes! It isn't over till it's over. Make it happen!
instead of using 3.2 million dollars to make special effcts for 1 moive that people watch 1 time why not just send it over its not like if you dont make that moive the worlds gonna end
You honestly have no idea what InvisibleChildren does, do you? First of all, I'm pretty sure you took the 3.2 million dollar figure from a video saying that IC raised 1.2 million and now wants an additional 2.4 million for Ugandan schools. 1.2 + 2.4 = 3.6 not 3.2. Second, InvisibleChildren makes documentaries, which don't use special effects. Third, all of the money they raise does go directly to Uganda. Fourth, you're underestimating the power of cinema.
The best movies in cinema have great messages, which are conveyed effectively and smoothly. It doesn't matter how many times you watch a powerful movie, if you are human, the movie will teach you something and probably inspire you to do good for the world. And if InvisibleChildren is actually raising funds for a new documentary, I'm sure it would be amazing and still have a great impact. After all, their first documentary led to, well, everything that IC's done.
dude i wasnt criticizeing invisibleChildren i was trying to back it up buy saying instead of wasteing money on pointless things they could be helping all those people
i have been involved in invisible children for 3yrs now! I have the shirts and all the bracelets that are available. My school started the Invisible Children Club my junior year by one of my best friends. I was made one of the officers. Then my senior year I was made vice president but the pres. was hardly there bc he was always busy. So I basically ran it. I am now going into my second year of college and I still help out. I absolutely love this!!!!
There is a gourmet coffee company that gives 10% of all it's profits to the Invisible Children of Uganda. Here is the site if you decide you want to check it out. boreshacoffee . com/sundeen
I'm helping start one at UAA in Anchorage AK, and my younger sister has started a Schools for Schools also at her school. I don't think it matters your age, if you're younger get a little bit of help but you can do it! good luck, you are the difference =),
And PS thanks to all of you who are involved in one way or another! This is a movement and a revolution that we can all be a part of
