The idea is great, but boats of that period was made of wood planks stitched together. Boats of that period was'nt made to resist to the off shore conditions, and way less to the kind of use you suggested. Informatic designs are'nt always compatible with real-life ones, a round keel is'nt stable (all axis), cords and pulleys are way more efficient than wooden paddles. It been prooven that Greeks used "regular" cranes in 515 BC, maybe egyptians used something similar insted of fancy boats.
