I am writing this because I am saddened about the violence in Chicago. I grew up in the Cabrini area and have seen or heard of too many children dying in the streets. It breaks my heart that there are no role models and that our youth have to look to gangs for solice. I remember in the 80's when we had the gang truce. However, the time is NOW to decrease ALL GANG ACTIVITY. Forget summoning the gang leaders for treaties. They know what's going on.
