  • I love "Good Eats" and Alton's recipes are always easy to make as well as very good.

  • Boil em if you got em...

  • his brother's a faggot.

  • Those firecrackers look yum!

  • @steveparok00 What are "Firecrackers"?

  • @aliciakay444 Huh?

  • @aliciakay444 I guess what the name suggest's. Very hot pickle's. Not really my type of pickle.

  • Alton's bro is sexay rawr

  • i want the extendible fork

  • He so confidently pulls out "suddle". Like "Oh yeah, I got this."

  • Alton is brilliant and so very funny.

  • omg the ending

  • one of my fave shows

  • The twin pickle making is one of the coolest things ever on this show!

  • BA is funny in another episode too altons altego

  • Sooo, am I the only one who wished Alton dressed and acted like this twin for every show?

  • @creatornat Perhaps, but you're not the only one who likes Alton's acting abilities.

  • the good eats song sounds great in rock!

  • LOL, the grin on Evil Alton when he names the Firecrackers...Priceless!

  • @gr8fzy1 I agree. It goes well with the ending

  • Is BA also played by AB on a split screen?

  • @Goldenrod636 Yes.

  • I like his brother. He's a badass. XD

  • B.T.U.

    British Thermal Unit...

The amount of heat required to raise one POUND of water one degree.

    It's cumbersome. it's accurate.

  • "A pint's a pound the world around."

    One cup= 8 ounces

    One pint= two cups

    one pint= 16 ounces

    16 ounces= 1 pound

    Thus

    One pint= one pound.

    He got it right.

  • lol @ cucombersome...

    16 oz = 1 lb - true...

16 fl oz does not always = one pound...

  • I did some more reading on that, and apparently, for his purposes, you can measure water (or most fluids) by volume, and a pint does come out to about one pound (close enough for cooking, but not enough for a BTU test)

He probably put Pint in the blurb because it would make more sense to the average viewer, and for most people, that should be as close as anyone generally needs to understand.

At least, that's what makes sense to me.

  • im seein things, i though u said cucombersome.

  • i love this episde. ab is hilarious :-D

  • With the emphasis on opposites, I'm almost surprised that B.A. didn't use treif salt ^_^

  • What size jar is that? he did not list it in the recipe either. is it important, other than it being big enough to fit everything?

  • B.A. is so badass

  • ohhh b.a=bad.ass

  • so AB= Ass bad? lol

  • dont think about it to hard

  • Notice the dueling variations on the GE theme? A muzak version for AB's pickles, and a hard rock version for BA's.

  • the firecrackers recipe is awesome. i made them for thanksgiving this year and they were a huge hit.

  • Anybody have an explanation for the random Pennsylvania Dutch guy at the end, or was that just AB being goofy?

  • The Penn. Dutch were one of the very first to make pickles to America. That's what I believe the guy at the end symbolized.

  • yeah and whats it say on his door its not doppelganager ...

  • Pickle Development.

  • "Firecrackers."

    (B.A. smiles)

  • at 5:40 was BA stealing stuff?

  • looks like he ran off with a mixer.

  • Which probably accounts for a later episode where AB steals his brother's oven to cook a roast, opens the door and finds his own mixer stashed inside it.

  • lol, 'My mixer! I havent seen it since I made pickles'

  • In fact its the mixer from the cookie show that AB ends up finding when he does the rib primal show. He finds it in BAs oven that he took to show that even a dirty oven can be used provided you use a secondary container for the heat. in anycase I think AB was thinking for just having the option to have some fun later on.

  • XDDD "Chili flakes! The fiend!"

  • OMFG IT'S BACK

  • i know B.A. is A.B. (alton brown) backwards, but did anyone else catch that it's B.A. as in "badass?" i don't know, it could be a coincidence, but it fits him!

  • gotta love the expandable fork

  • yaaaaay :D its working again !

  • Oh no!!! The video!!! IT'S GOOONEEE!!!! ;_;

  • I need my fix of AB.

  • Dammit, won't load.

  • Yep, this segment has bitten the big one - it has gone to meet its maker - it is an ex-video.

  • Aww for some reason this clip won't load, I tried using the embedded url on a dummy page, and same thing. Says the video is no longer available.

  • I made the sweet, sour, and firecracker carrots last night. Gonna let them sit up for a week before cracking them open. Thanks for uploading this episode, I caught it on TV but didnt have enough time to get any of the information.

  • How were they?

  • did he just pour spicy pickle juice into that beer and drink it?

  • Yes, yes he did.

  • As a pickle fan, I think this is a great ep. I will definitely be applying his fruit pickle brine to some apricots. I plan to use 1/2 lemon and 1/2 lime, sliced thin, and some ginger. Mint just doesn't do it for me.

  • I like the amish guy at the end

  • thank u for all the good eats episodes

  • thks for uploading this i love this show and i love pickles

  • I miss B.A, he rarely makes an appearance any more.

  • THIS JUST MADE ME DIE FROM HAPPINESS

PICKLES ARE MY FAVORITE FOOD EVER AND ALTON BROWN IS MY FAVORITE PERSON EVER

*sigh* this is the best thing. ever.

  • I never miss out on watching Alton. Thanks!

  • Thanks for posting more of Awsome Alton!
