  • oh i love this charity! my momma fought this disease! shes in remission :)

  • when will it be announced?! so excited!!!!

  • i am having a lipstick give away on my channle go check it out.

  • oomg ive been dying to know what is the exact different between a pearlizer and a pigment?!

  • I'm not sure I can tell you what the exact difference is but something in the way it's formulated makes pearlizers more sheer. I don't *think* the ingredients are listed on the box, but I'll look. They may be listed in my old product knowledge manual but I believe my copy may not have been updated with that information. I'll check for you though!

  • Risa, you are an amazing person! What a great and original idea for a contest. I will definitely buy some entries. Too bad I live in PA, because I would LOVE to have you do my makeup! You are truly inspirational.

  • @ilikejumprope Couldn't have been said any better. I feel the same way.

  • what if i live in canada???????

  • we have susan g komen here in seattle

  • very excited!

  • I live in Jersey but I would def come to ny

  • What if i live in san jose? thats bay area

  • i love the 3rd prize :)

  • Wow Prize #4 is so cute! lol but why does QUEENS have to be listed last? =P

  • lol well to be honest it's not my favorite borough, though I have spent a decent amount of time there. Better train options to BK and BX and I just like the feel of them more. No offense to anyone reppin Queens - I know how you new yorkers are with your borough pride. Brooklyn is by far my favorite though - the random art is everywhere, plus I love Prospect Park.

  • Go Risa...BK all day, everyday, LOL!

  • ahhh i miss home..lol

  • the 4th prize is AMAZING!

  • those look like some really great prizes risa

  • are you going to new york for fashion week? i would love to go and see the shows

  • I know I'm going to be butchered for this, but I have a problem with how many people throw money at this cause! When my dad had kidney cancer, my family didn't know what was going to happen, and so we sent off to the American Cancer Society to get some more information on Kidney Cancer. When we got our information in the mail, we got TEN (yes, TEN) pamphlets on Breast Cancer and one small little postcard about Kidney Cancer. So I'm sorry, but I'm not entering, just wanted to share that.

  • you should do another charity ruffle for the hati earthquake cause :)

dont have to but its a good idea :)

  • Too bad. I'm coming out to Berkley on the 29th for the weekend, but I will enter.

  • Breast cancer is a perfect example of how throwing money at a problem doesn't make it go away. There is more than enough money for breast cancer research, the only thing they need is time. Donating to 'breast cancer', you should try to find a foundation that buys wigs, pays for child care or transportation, and actually helps people who HAVE breast cancer.

  • @KristinMarcellina TOTALLY agree with you! But I'm hoping the excess money will be put into good use. I read less than 10% of pink ribbon merchandise and money raised from the 3 day walk actually goes towards Breast Cancer research. Corporations are now using charity as a marketing tool. However, these prize packs are great, and Risa's intentions and experiences are very genuine so this is a worthy raffle in my opinion.

  • I agree and I want to donate to Look Good Feel Better, but they're not on ebay unfortunately. Maggie Bags has already aligned themselves with the Susan Komen Foundation so I figured it was appropriate.Should I ever have my own business - which I may one day, any money raised in any which way will go directly to help support people directly. Helping may medical bills, money for food, childcare, medicine etc - because those costs are friggin phenomenal. My 1st hospital stint was over $600,000

  • Although to my knowledge, not all money donated to the foundation is spent on research. It's also spent on educating the masses on the epidemic and I believe they also have a scholarship program to help students who wouldn't have the money to pay for college because of the cost of high medical expenses - either their own, or their families.

  • I love the 4th prize idea. I love all the prizes. but the last is my favorite. What if I come down to SF? I am only 45 mins away. lol

  • It is so cool that you are doing this, I donated last night and maybe I'll do it again on my next pay day. Good luck with your fund-raising.

  • oh wow seatbelt purses cool....i sure will get some nice thing your doing too for charity i think thats so kind hearted. Your blessed and returning favs in life is what itsabout doing just to do it. Take care girl~

  • WOW, you are just full of surprises Risa! to come out to NYC..woo hoo..You're such a doll!

  • Hi Risa, I'm supportive of the idea behind this raffle. Also, JennisseMakeup recently held a contest where ALL who submitted a video won Maggie bags! My point is, I think Maggie Bags are out of stock and won't ship til March, so with that said, how will they supply to the winning raffle you're holding?

  • better. Maggie Bags has both. :)

  • thanks!! i've tried using nyx jumbo pencil in milk and it works pretty well but the difference between my skin tone and those white spots is really big so sometimes i just look crazy lol

  • i had a question, i have vitiligo on my eye lids so they are basically two different colors and i was wondering if you knew any products i could you to even them out because when i put shadows on it just looks strange.

    thanks :)

  • RISA! I love you for doing this. With my raffle earlier this year I raised almost $5000 for the Susan G. Komen breast cancer 3-Day. I'm gonna donate as soon as my direct deposit goes through later today. :):)

  • Risa, this is a great idea! Can't wait to make my donation. The prizes are awesome! You are the best out there.

  • This is such a great way to raise money for a good cause. I just made my donation and will be sending you my email shortly.

  • I will donate :D

  • this is such an amazing idea Risa and you are so generous to do this. I wish my bank would allow me to have a paypal account so I could donate :(

  • It's so kind and generous of you to do this. You'll be getting an email from me. 8-)

  • Donated some. And send the email to you. I like it that it is for Europe too. :D And I love your idea to do this. Keep it up Risa!! ;)

    xoxo

  • This is an awesome idea. You're amazing.

  • an auction would be better because people could get what they wanted

  • What if someone e-mails you like 3 tickets purchased then you'll count them 3 times in your random draw?

Just checking and hoping it'd be fair..

  • Yes. So for instance, so far I've received quite a few forwarded emails of the receipts (click the link for my blog in the sidebar - you can see screenshots of what it looks like) If a person donates $50 - their name will be entered 25 times - they will have 25 "tickets".

  • its so great what you are doing. And the fact that you donated it all from your own money with the makeup is fantastic. :)

  • This is such a great idea. Thank you for being so generous.

  • wow this is a great idea risa

  • Is this open to people in Europe?

  • yep! It's international :D Sorry I forgot to mention that :/

  • i absolutely love this idea. unfortunately i lost my gramma and aunt to breast cancer :( ... those bags are gorgeous. you can count me in on this raffle

  • I didnt know you lived in San Francisco/ bay area! I live in Marin so you rnt to far from me.

  • What are you wearing on your lips? It's beautiful.

  • Hope you don't mind my butting in here, but i just watched the vid for this look and it's:

Pink Fuchsia Lip Liner and MAC Violetta Lipstick :) HTH!

  • Thank you!

  • @callistotheii you are very welcome ;)

  • I think the idea of the 'none material items' are a lot better than the makeup prizes!!! too bad I dont like in ny! :(

  • I love this! What a great idea!

I really like those bags. And the MAC is awesome, too!

I'll def be buying tickets when I get my next check!

  • This is a great thing you are doing, Risa! such a big heart :)

i will buy 10 tickets when i get paid next week!

  • OOOOOO I am so excited! I am on my way to donate!
