it's a great book. I'm reading it now, I'm about halfway done. I totally recommend it, it exposes New Age and it's goals. It's really accurate even though it's a book from the 80's, lol.
um yeah, Jesus did and the Bible teaches it.... I am about to make a video about it, it was supposed to be up today but my program malfunctioned and deleted all that I had
One must suspend every faculty of the mind to believe this story. How did we all come from one man and one woman, unless the offspring procreated (incest) (I guess this could account for all the crazy genes proliferated throughout generations of peoples:) It goes beyond silly.
no you don't. Having marriage in the family was not the same thing as we see it today. Back then the genes were more pure since Adam and Eve were the closet thing to perfection the world has ever seen. The "crazy genes" shows that the world is dying, since other life is also having more bad genes and mutation and is getting weaker, not stronger. Something that happened after the land was cursed for Adam and Eve's sin.
And further, we are supposed to believe that we are born into this world a sinner because of that one instance eve was succumbed to temptation??????? Absolute farce. Making me responsible (sending me to hell if I'm not "born again) for the actions of the first person created is lunacy.
no it's not just their sin. It's also yours, Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God" You are born into this world as a person who will sin, it's our sin nature....
@jellyrcw11 and there is the crux of everything. It goes beyond all normal logic to believe this. It's completely ridiculous. It makes the whole thing bogus.
And I'll quit now - but you need to read the Sam Harris book yourself or your video lacks virtually all credibility. But I doubt you could read it with an open mind anyway, based on the way you come to a conclusion.
all you're doing is ranting and going off topic of the video, the video is about my thoughts on a book I read. Jesus believed, tons of Christian apologists believe, so no it does not go on beyond all normal logic to believe in Adam and Eve. Basic arithmetic proves that we could of all come from Adam and Eve, with the current population. Nothing bogus about basic math. But seriously, stop arguing, I don't like going off topic to the video.
Because you should actually read a book and evaluate it's message before you blindly believe it's antithesis. This is a common situation with christians - reading and accepting only that which supports one's personal bias. I used to be the same way at a young age.
yes good point. but I don't blindly believe anything. Considering it used direct quotes from the book (some which were very stupid like some of the great Protest Reformists for being pro-witching and other nonsense) it was a good refute.
You do blindly believe many things, as you are aware you have no substantive evidence for. Using a few direct quotes is not good enough, and calling facts from these quotes and calling them stupid and nonsense with out first reading them in context, is well, stupid and nonsensical. Just get the book - it should be in a nearby library (you know what those are, right? :) and read it with an open mind. You can then compare both against the ultimate truth, which is reality.

btw, you're also going way off topic of the video. Comments are about the video, not my beliefs or what the Bible teaches.

Have you read the Sam Harris book this one is supposed to refute?

@jvh67 why?
