Dude, it's time for you to stop being a fanboy, pick up a guitar yourself & learn...& do your own thing don't follow the same path as Orianthi...I'm 25 years-old, I've been playing since I was 2 years-old (I'm from a similar background as Orianthi...my dad's played since he was a kid & there's always been guitars ALL OVER the place in my houses...& It just developed really seriously over the years for me...
@thedeem0N - Umm, no offense, but have you seen my other videos? I played guitar a lot before I had to sell everything to make rent, but now I'm going into the Navy so I'll be able to buy bigger and better things soon.
I first heard about her BEFORE MJ passed away on someone's recommendation here on YT. He said if you like Jacqueline Mannering's guitar shredding, you'll love Orianthi. So I did a search here and the first vid I found(this was b4 Believe was released)was Lights Of Manos and then the short clip of her playing from EC's Crossroads Fest. And then I found her vids covering Going Down and The Thrill Is Gone. That's all it took for me to become an Orianthi fan.
actually, on highly strung she did indeed "snag steve vai for a couple minutes and kick out the jams." i've been following her since discovering her back in february when she performed "last name" with carrie underwood at the grammies, nearly stealing the stoplight from carrie mid-way through the song with a face-melting solo. like mj said in "this is it," it's her time to shine. she's gonna be huge, i just know it. oh, and excellent review btw.
