The story behind the two songs being the same (according to Richard himself) is that he had written "In My Tears" for his Emigrate album long before Reise Reise was released by Rammstein. The other Rammstein members heard the song, loved the riff, and asked him could they use it for a song on their new album - which then became Stein Um Stein :) :)

Richard made In my tears before the Rammstein guys were even dreaming about Stein um Stein. Then he played the song to Till and others who all liked it, and after a discussion Richard gave the song in Rammstein's use, still wanting the song to be on his other album, making Rammstein fans think that he "copied" his own song.

Nevertheless, I totally prefer Rammstein since I don't like RZK's voice nor Emigrate's music... He's an intelligent song maker but not a singer. Rammstein für immer <3

Rosenrot and Stein um Stein both had the Demo name "Rosenrot" those Songs are "sisters" it's official. I can play both songs on guitar and they really sound similar, the highs and dephts are just placed differently.
