You can finish the game (first time) in around 12 hours. It might be faster or slower, depending on whether the puzzles are correct in the first try. Well, it took me 13-14 hours; but I goofed around/farmed a lot. =P

The game is finished pretty fast, as it's only 14 hours long. But there is more to do after you finish it the first time. There is also a local multiplayer option available, so you can finish that one too. I'm guessing FF:ROF is around 15 - 25 hours of gameplay. I liked it. =)

you actually have a third option: save at a savepoint and softreset, it only takes 5 seconds or so(too bad this won't work 4 the M3 users). It really works well, I finished the game like this

If you get the thank you for playing screen in each 20 minutes than you have 2 solutions, 1. wait for the fixed version to come out, 2. put in the code to the game

vo is cool, a little to childish though. just a question there was a lot of vo at the beginning, but im at the big city after the beggining of the game and it seems that during the events theres no more vo. is my rom copy defective or something?

I got the US Version, and it messes up on my "Loader"

After 15-20 Minutes of gameplay, when I move to another map it jumps to the end of the ROM Data with the "Thanks for Playing" Screen!

WTF!? Guess I gotta wait for new fermware.

it is built into the game. everyone with an r4 or m3 is having that issue. apparently if you have a flashcard that reads clean roms (without patching them like the r4 and m3 do) this solves the issue of that screen popping up and the system rebooting.

but yeah, what a pain in the ass.

Hey guys, i never liked the final fantasy games much because of there gameplay style, but crystal chronicles looks different so i was thinking of getting it. I just wanted to know what the fighting style was like i.e. is it turn based or real time. Cos i absolutely HATE the turn based style of the normal FF games so i was hoping that the player actually controls the characters fighting actions in this one. Thanks for the help.

is it really real time? my friend has it and was telling me you can kinda move around and stuff in the fights but you still have to wait for your chance to attack or something along those lines (i havnt payed much attention to FF since FF8). Btw, it was a real question, please reply. Also if this comment appears at the top (youtube has been misplacing my comments lately) its meant to be a reply to Penri02.

ummm... yeah ok, it's not real time like Zelda.... but it's not like the old FF... all the monsters are on screen as you're running about, but there is a small menu at the bottom left with Attack, Magic and all that, so when you see a monster the gameplay pauses wile you make a choice... but in the option menu you can turn that off so wile you are making your choice the game is still going without any pause... Look up some videos on youtube, I'm not the best explaining things. Sorry

Hmm yeah. Thanks for the info. I understand what your saying. I probably wont be getting FF12 though, mainly because ive still got Zelda, Mario and Sonic to finish on my Wii and there are about 7 other games for the Wii i wont to get haha so money is a bit of an issue. But thanks again for the helpful info.

i played through the first dungeon on a friend's copy of the game and it really didnt feel or look like a final fantasy, just hope it gets better as the game goes on.
