I've watched a lot of these microwaving videos on YouTube. Microwaves sure are durable. Stuff catches fire in them and the microwaves still work. Stuff explodes in them and the microwaves still work and are still in one piece. I think it's all thanks to curiosity that so many of these kinda videos are on YouTube, and it's all thanks to curiosity + boredom that a lot of people even watch them. I find these videos interesting too.
