Of course it's not enough to just say "don't say it" - the knee-jerk reaction to that is always "I have the right to" - we must tell them *why* they should stop saying it. Rationality to fight irrationality, education to fight ignorance. I trust Michael Shermer knows this, I just wish he had said it.
