Everyone at school was talking about the mens boring national championship game between UCONN n Butler & not 1 person spoke of the A&M Notre Dame matchup which was ssooo much better.It was like almost like watching Glory Road.
I just discovered a women's sport called Netball. quite popular in England and Europe. It's like Basketball without dribbling. The most striking difference however is the uniforms. They wear uniforms similar to tennis skirts and are much more attractive than the awful long baggy shorts the female Basketball players wear here. My question is why did the girls want to emulate the sloppy baggy look of the men ?
@singingmaniac16 Why would long shorts that rub on your knees be more comfortable than the short uniforms the Netball players wear ? If they were uncomfortable I really don't think they would were them. And as I said they look so much better than the baggy shorts. I think wearing the men's style uniform is simply to emulate the men which is a mistake. Would anybody want to see Maria Sharapova play tennis in such an unappealing uniform ?
@expos73 It seems that you only care what the women are wearing, not their skill level. It doesn't matter what they're wearing when they're playing a sport.
@singingmaniac16 I dont feel that way at all. All I'm saying is that packaging a sport is very important, and if a uniform is functional and looks good, why not wear a more appealing one. What is wrong with looking attractive while playing a sport ? Is Maria Sharapova or beach volleyball players less skilled because one wears a tennis dress and the others bikinis ? Also, Figure skaters wear attractive costumes and also gymnasts. Why insist on being as physically unappealing as possible ?
@expos73 It's just the fashion. Basketball already had a set uniform when the women's game appeared. The women couldn't just step in and change the style. And if women's basketball is just trying to emulate the guys, good for them. Women don't get as much respect as the men.
Great highlight video. Great song. Great season of women's NCAA Basketball. The women's final was more exciting than the men's final this year. Congrats to Texas A&M, well deserved. Hats off to Maya Moore and Brittany Griner for great seasons. Women's NCAA Action is Fantastic!
i don't even understand why we as women (even me) address the dick heads with the "womens basketball"/"thats a big kitchen" joke. its corny and they are obviously miserable grumpy SINGLE men jealous a woman has accomplished more than they could even think of.

@Dionnedraortiz Gotta say as a male Aggie fan, I enjoyed the women's tournament from start to finish and think the games are better played and more entertaining. Men's sports focus on the standout stars and the women's sports seam to focus more on the team as a whole, which they should since its a team sport. Seeing the chemistry they have together on the court is amazing. Just fyi, the A&M women's practice squad is a group of 8 guys that the ladies demolish each and every practice.
I agree with you about wcbb and especially the ncaa tourney. Great entertainment, spectacular spiritual energy. However, after having seen a bit of the WNBA for the very first time, I find it to be a letdown compared to women's amateur competition via the ncaa. The energy and spiritual camaraderie, so obviously ubiquitous in wcbb, is not nearly the norm in the WNBA. Overall, I vastly prefer amateur sports over professional competition.
@PoliticalAnimal1959 I to prefer college basketball over professional basketball. Men and women. they seem more hungry and are fighting to win as when your a proffesional athlete it really doesn't matter to some players because at the end of the day they are getting paid for this. BUT i'm just curious what WNBA game did you recently watch because the same four teams have played on television recently.
