The genius of Sorkin is that everything he does is so understated. He trusts the intelligence of his viewers and the skill of his actors. He says so much with so few words. It's soooo realistic. This was a beautiful scene. Applause for everyone. Including Sting.
Sweet Jesus, when the holy crap did Sting go from angsty punk genius to grandpa's gay friend on Quaaludes? Is it possible to rewind to before that moment?
@leftfieldgrab Wish I knew. They keep shit like Big Brother on for ages and cancel this brilliant show after 1 season. That's pretty much the reason I don't watch TV anymore, instead just buy the shows I want to watch.
sting performed two songs on that episode... Does anyone remember what that second song was? i know there are fiels of gold but i can't remember the other one. thank you
sting oh sting, u're my hero and u're my idol of all time! lovable and memorable song and that will leads to another 20 years...to tell the world that how lovely the song interpreted.
I think it seemed that way because they knew it was cancelled and had to wrap it up in some way that would make sense. I think if it had continued, it would have been a much different last half of season 1. Does that make any sense? lol
i disagree i believe the best scene in the series was the christmas episode when the bad from New Orleans was playing Oh Holy Night. But this is still a great scene...
You have seen the West Wing, right? Because, essentially, this series was a rehashing of that. It doesn't mean I didn't love it, but I loved the West Wing more. Best scene created by Sorkin, ever: Two Cathedrals, "Brothers in Arms"
OMG OMG OMG, i was addicted on this video for an entire week, i cried on this video, the sweet lute music, the genious sting, the unbeleievavble matthew perry, and the unstoppable romance power in the scene, when she hesitated to kiss or not, thats when it all kicked into me so hard, and the closing seen, i will never forget it for the rest of my life, i memorized every single work of this video, i cant be angry enough that they cancled such a great series, may god never forget them
You basically described me. I started watching this show because of Matt and Harriet, but stuck around because of the incredible writing and acting from everyone. I was so upset when I heard it was going to be cancelled. What is happening to tv? All the quality shows are being taken off the air for crappy reality tv shows and games. I would be the happiest person in the world if Sarah Paulson and Matthew Perry would work together again!
totally agree, we have all this bunch of stupid shows, the least studio 60 was described is INTILLIGENT, BEAUTIFUL, CREATIVE, ONE OF A KIND, i thot the cancellation was a joke, but i wouldnt be surprised after i saw the popularity of this show, and the drop of view that hit it in mid season, i think its both the network and the general american audience, who want sex, guns, drugs, or something euphoric, but when it comes to intillegence, PFF...i think americans are to blame for this b4 even NBC

Could you have possibly uploaded a clip in even more worse quality than this one? I don't think so...

This show had so much potential but in the end just seemed to lose it's way. This was the best scene in the whole series

For me, the most impressive thing, is how Matt manages to hold onto his bottle, through it all...
