  • I enjoyed this. I just learned about this post from Grafton players Gary and Ken while returning from Pasadena. I was at this game as a Pewaukee freshman. It was indeed a great battle from guys who held nothing back.

  • @MikeKeshan I played center and defensive guard in this game for Grafton. It was the toughest football game I ever played in. I literally had spike marks on my back after the game. Pewaukee was ALWAYS a tough game. I also went to college with Rick Nettesheim from that Pewaukee team.

  • GRAFTON ROCKS

  • nice

  • i play for the grafton black hawks

  • In this game I'm #56 for GHS. I played center and defensive tackle. We had less than 30 guys (soph-senior) on the team that year. Our biggest guy was 205 lbs.

  • #43 for Pewaukee at right defensive end is Rick Nettesheim.

  • The "Ken Peterson" ID'd on the opening kickoff is the same Ken Peterson who still holds the Wisconsin High School Division 2 long jump record he set in 1966.

  • Bill Peshel ran for more than 200 yards in this game. However, he was sick with the flu and didn't make it to school until 3rd hour that day.

  • This is back when Grafton was a town of 3,000 residents, now it has about 15,000 combined in the Village and Town.

  • When I moved to Grafton in 1956 it only listed 1,498 as the population.
