  • Game Genie. I miss those days...

  • what's wrong with you the music is great!! it may be a little high-pitched but it's all original you have to give them credit for it.

  • The tunes are catchy great, it's just that the quality of the instrument is terrible.

  • Disappointment? Try again.

  • i liked the music they used in this game but hey, to each their own...

  • ...did you SERIOUSLY just call "Mega Man II" on NES EASY?!! Are we even playing the same Mega Man II?!! That game was hard as hell!!!

  • @CCharmanderK maybe you played it on difficult mode. on normal mode, it’s not so bad. maybe die a few times, that’s all.

  • Comment removed

  • i got this game

  • Crashman wears a crash helmet, and the enemys are designed to look like crash dummies. Its definatly CRASHMAN

  • clashman was the name of the japanese version of crashman

  • Who the hell is clashman

  • 0:04 wily looks like a japanese guy .... COOL!

  • I laughed my ass off at this repeatedly, well done man. The music bit had me dyin'. Where are 'your' from?

  • the asians cant spell the r, because of that they used a l for clushman^^

  • UR TERRIBLE!!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MEGAMAN SOUNDTRACKS EVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JackDaScarecrow Completely agree. Don't understand people complaining about the music, it's the third best soundtrack for a Mega Man game ever (after Mega Man 3 on the NES and Mega Man X).

  • @JackDaScarecrow Completely agree. Don't understand people complaining about the music, it's the third best soundtrack for a Mega Man game ever (after Mega Man 3 on the NES and Mega Man X).

  • lol at 6:42-6:46

  • will the original Gameboy Game Genie work on the gameboy Color?

  • @Starscream183 yes but the GBC black and GBC only cartridges will need a certain move to play them but still yes

  • This game was in 1992,Wily travelled 37 years.....so he went to 2029? XD

  • @rochopper2 lol good one

  • 2:20 LOL

  • I just bought this off of eBay for $8.92.

  • why 37.426 years? O.o

  • I enjoyed everything about this game. Call me nostalgic if you want.

  • I liked this game...

  • this works on advance

  • I think Clash Man was a typo.

  • lol hard man

  • I always thought Top Man was the best!

  • 0:30 what the fuck is megaman doing to rush!?!?!?!

  • That music is NOT awful! You gotta learn to appreciate what you get!

  • Clash man is Crash Man's real name Just like Megaman is Rockman.

  • 0:53 lol

  • Thumps up if you agree that Quint is a fusion of Proto Man, Quick Man and those Shy Guys in Super Mario RPG Legend Of The Seven Stars when they and Mack invade the Mushrom Kingdom

  • the music IS from the nes but from Megaman 3 like the get powerup song is the same as megaman 3's get powerup song

  • i couldnt find any rockman world 3 game genie codes..

    :(

  • @musican67557 actuly i had fun code searching by typing in random letters and numbers

  • what about how deformed wily looks inside his ship, and how megaman looks when he slides, oh and rush jet. Not the mention the gates have to be walked into not jumped into like all the other mm games.

  • Mega man 2 was dooooope

  • awesome video

go to my channel for retro game reviews

  • This was the first Mega Man game I ever owned. I like this one myself. Fond memories of it.

  • Hey, great review! Please do more game reviews!

  • Great review. You did a fantastic job. Megaman 2 GB's audio is bad not because the tunes are bad, but because the synths they used are awful. The titlescreen and Airman's themes are actually quite good melodies.

  • CrashMan is called ClashMan in japan =)

  • Aww Gamegenie for THIS game? It is the easiest Megaman Game in Gameboy.

  • Saying I was going to cheat was a gimmick to introduce the game genie. You're right, you never need the game genie for this game.

  • Fantastic review!

  • This was an awesome review done, along with the edits.

  • thanks mate! I think I mention in my MM3 review that I was a bit too harsh in my review on this game. It's still fun to play.

  • @Prizm4 I remember I had a sort of sickly sweet love for this game - even though it had its flaws, like the 0.5 G jumping.

One again, brilliant - have you played Megaman V for Gameboy - and what software do you use to make your vids?

  • SuperNESFreak: Yes, I played this game over and over. Even with its flaws it still had a certain charm to it.

For these videos I used Premiere Pro to edit them. VBA-M was used to record the actual game footage.

  • @Prizm4 I thought you were harsh on Super Castlevania IV, too, the jumping was FAR superior to the NES games.

  • @SuperNESFreak: That's an interesting point. I probably should've compared it to one of the NES CV games as well, along with games with good jumping.

  • i sure hope you know this but clash man is crash man in japan

  • yes, in rockman 2, the japanese version

  • yep, I was just poking a bit of fun

  • the intro music is from top gun on the nes

  • can u put the game genie on the gameboy sp and gameboy advance?

  • I don't think it would fit. It was made to fit quite snug on the original gameboy. Even if you could use it on the later gameboys, there would be no codes you could use for the newer games. They only had codes for the original black and white gameboy games.

  • i ment does it fit onto the GBASP because i play games like super mario land not the newer games

  • @musican67557 Yes - it sticks out a bit, but the games play just fine. If you want to get it in monochrome, hold B + Left as the game starts. Yeah, here's a real nerd for you.

  • problem solved:it fits on the GBA SP but i really need more games for the original gameboy games

  • omg, where did you buyed that Megaman shirt?

  • It was probably at stylinonline-dot-com

  • The soundtrack is a bit too ambitious and is admittedly tinny as a result, but still better than any MM game's soundtrack this decade other than MM9.

It's not supposed to be a straight port of MM2 NES.

  • I remember having some sort of megaman game for game boy. One of the stages was sort of a night level, with those spring enimies that are slow when you are off the platform and really fast when your on. Also, another level was airman's stage.

  • You're kinda cute, honey! ; )

  • how dare you say the soundtrack was awful???? -.-

  • Wow man what the hell, this game is piss ass easy, using a game genie for this game is a fucking joke.

  • I already said in the review that this game is easy. There's no need to use a Game Genie at all.

If you had read the other comments you'd know I introduced the Game Genie in order to give the Genie a quick review and let people see what it looked like for Gameboy.

  • I cant believe I beat this without cheating!

  • The reason Crash Man is Clash Man becuase in Rockman 2: Dr. Wily No Nazo there was a Clash man instead of Crashman

  • music:

    Nintendo: nice, good, and calm

Game Boy: Let's get crazy and slide around!!!

  • did you say the capture slides in backwards

  • The cartridge does.

  • hay dude, the gameboy mega man music was actually pretty good! i liked it better than the NES bgm

  • LMAO at 2:01-2:40....hilarious man. Greart review..great sense of humor.

  • By the way, I thought the music was decent.

  • Good game, but it was really easy. Good review.

  • will the game genie work for gb pocket, color or advance?

  • The Game Genie wouldn't fit on those units. The way it's made only allows it to fit over the original Gameboy.

  • Did you know that Clash Man is Crash man in the Rockman 2 : Dr.Wily No Nazo ? (the JPN nes version) =) great review !

  • nice review

  • YEARRR... Good game, and nice review

  • top gun missle select music! i have that up under my channel :))

  • Crashman was a mistranslation of Crashman in MM2.

    You're an aussie, right?

  • @Immafirinmahlazer Crashman is a mistranslation of Crashman?

  • epic game

  • Look the nes version my friend was in a litle better system although the nes and gb was the same in some parts in power! I agree that the music is aufull but the megaman 2 for gb is the easiest in the gb console and even if you play it with or without music you can still going to beat it.

  • :D my first gameboy game, and first mega man game that i did play., well i have play more of mega man, mega man 2 is an great entry for those that havent play mega man before.

    still it have bad music,

  • Same here.

  • i have this game, and i gotta say its a lot harder than the original version of mega man2. The music really isnt as bad as this guy says and the gameplay still rocks

  • lol "your can be sure"

  • lol the ending

  • Well done review.

  • How much u selling that for? :)

  • MELTING MEAT CLOCKS

  • what does your shirt say? and where are you getting the new oldschool games? i must know

  • The shirt says something like "I defeated the eight robot masters" and it's got all the MM2 bosses on it. None of my cartridges are new. They're the original ones that I bought back in 1991-92. I always tried to keep my Gameboy stuff in good condition.

  • yeah man thats gotta be worth alot of money. do you have any mint nes stuff serously man look on ebay things in that condition are hard to come by

  • The music isnt crap, it's better than the NES.

  • Lol I had this game...actually liked it a lot...it had some of the best music on the Gameboy...so ye, wouldnt agree with you there...game was pretty good overall, just some things were pretty random, like the pogo stick and the top spin attack was useless...I would give the game a 4/5 though, was pretty good

  • during when he was using the game genie

  • what that music called in 2:44. It sounds great!

  • All the music used is listed in the credits. In this case, see 6:24.

  • thank you ! =)

  • Clashman?! It's Crashman! I bet they didn't translate Clashman into Crashman.

  • 0:19 that pic looks wrong

  • i would give anything to go back and relive my childhood

  • dude just hope hollywood dosent get their dirty little hands on megaman or they will destroy ur child hood just like they destroyed mine with the new dragonball movie =( but anyways awesome review

  • itunes did the remake freakin sucks

  • dude i had this

  • That's a very exact approximation.. :p

  • I really don't care about the music, there was another game where Crashman was called Clashman, Mega Man The Wily Wars.

  • got this togter with my first gameboy when this did sell in stores., sold it 3 year later :D i miss it so much so i bought it again 10dollar., this game are to easy

  • Mega Man 2 GB, easiest Mega Man game ever? Quite probably... it's maybe two hours long, at best, the first time you play it. Sure it's still kind of fun, but after the very high but yet still fun difficulty of Mega Man 1, spending money for a game so short definitely would be disappointing... the better graphics don't come near to making up for that. GB Mega Mans 4 and 5 are among the best Mega Man games ever, but 2 isn't even close, sadly.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that the music for this game isn't THAT bad? As a matter of fact: it's really good

  • I also think this music is hot. I don't know what people are talking about that it's horrible.

  • agree, the gameboy version had equally good music as the originals.

  • i liked the music

  • that menu music is AMAZING where can I find the mp3 or youtube link to the music??

  • Yeah, it's a great tune. You'll need to make your own MP3. Download vba-m and record the game audio using an audio editor. Normally you could use a GBS plugin for WinAmp, but the current ones do not play MM2 songs properly.

  • Actually, Clash Man is an incorrect romanization of Crash Man's name. L and R sounds are interchangeable in Japan.

  • everyone if you listen you will know why he used a game genie and clashman was actually supposed to be crashman but one of the designers made a mistake this is not made up if you look at vid of 1993 one of the designesrs apoligized publickly to everyone else in the team that he was sorry kinda ublievable but true

  • the intro/wily music in this game i thought was better suited for gb bacuse they cant put the intro in the gb so the music does not fit with it

  • you had to use game genie to beat this? I beat it the first night I had it without cheating, it was way too easy.

  • Seriously, this is getting old. Please read my previous comments to find out exactly why I used the Game Genie.

  • 5:04 Is that meat in the background?

  • Never mind.

  • Its melting clocks

  • Nice Review ^^

  • Ah, come on, the game was great although I have to admit that it really was a bit too easy. But the music brings back memorys :)

  • I used to think those melting clocks were stakes! XD

  • Clashman is crashman

  • well no shit.

  • dude ias talking to Prizm4

  • my first video game, ah good memories :P

  • how do you record your screen?

  • its called an emulator.

  • they scaled the fuck out of the sprites though

  • quint is quick man

  • You still have the instruction booklet! Nice!

  • LMAO HAHAHAHA THE MUSIC

    I loved it. ;-;

  • Great review, I can't complete the first one but I found II easy, I've done NES MEGA MAN, II and III and X for SNES but I can't do MEGA MAN original for the GAMEBOY, it drives me insane.

  • another awesome review!! *just finished watching the whole thing*

great stuff man, i hope u keep reviewing old school GB games

  • Hotman, lol.

  • I actually bought this game about a week ago at a play n trade for 5 bucks. Even though the music and difficulty were a bit of a disappointment it still was pretty good for a Gameboy port

  • ironic that you say "much harder level" yet you used a game genie to cheat your way through the game. pffft. half baked review

  • Actually I said MM2 was the easiest of the Gameboy games. There's no point to using the Game Genie in this game, it's simply too easy.

My aim in the video was to illustrate the Game Genie for Gameboy, which many people never actually saw or knew about.

  • I have an explanation for the whole "Crash/Clash Man" debacle. In the Japanese accent, they switch "R's" and "L's" when they pronounce English words. So...that could be it XD.

  • RedFox10375: I said I'd be dead on the last level without the Game Genie...due to using the sakugarne on Wily's head. Nothing to do with Wily being too hard. I was pointing out that the sakugarne had limited uses, and can't even be used to efficiently defeat Wily. If I tried to use it, I'd be dead pretty quickly.

(Sorry, when I went to reply to your post I accidentally hit Remove instead)

  • I thought the game was, even though it seemed easy. The music isn't too bad but I wouldn't say it's as good as compared to the NES games.

  • 0:54-1:05 it's super mario land 2 theme isn't it?

  • quint is supposedly megaman reprogrammed from the future.

  • That's what I heard as well.

  • When I first saw him, I thought he was Protoman. Then, when I saw Quint's name in the credits, I thought that was like Protoman's Japanese name. Right now, I know Protoman is known in Japan as Blues.

  • You suck in this game! and by the way, the music is awesome.

  • i second this

megaman2 on the gameboy was awesome

    and your an idiot. durrrr

the nes hardware > GB hardware

so duurrrrr the music is worse

  • Pretty cool review, not bad...

  • did you finish dr.wily?

  • the review is nice... realy laughed. was funny. but ur crazy, the music rox

  • What? The music is awesome. Especially the Title Screen theme.

  • mega man on nes is pretty good

  • I love the music, this was the only megaman game I could ever really get into, I got it as a kid... so its really not liked all that well? :O

    But... my childhood....

  • The only NES robot master's theme I like over the Gameboy counterpart is Crashman's. His original name really is Clashman, though.

  • Crashman

  • great review man

  • i loved the music iwhen i was about 6 i used to steal my bros gameboy and listen to it like a ipod i didnt have an ipod back then ..... DONT JUDGE ME !!!

  • LOL! That's hilarious!

  • Mega Man 2 was the best Mega Man game on NES, and the most popular! But on Game Boy it's Decent, Clash Man? Isn't it Crash Man I think they forgot to proof read it...

  • no mega man 3 was the most popular. well better anyway.

  • megaman 3 was hard as hell. megaman 2 is pretty easy.

  • "When you have lemons, you make lemonade. And when you have rice, you make riceballs." - Brock from one of the "4Kids hates riceballs" videos on YouTube.

  • Megaman 3 I think is the best on GB.

  • Yup it is. Rockman World 3 rules.

  • wow, good job. Liked the review. Gotta try this one out.
