Lady Morgana maybe has the quality to conquer all Robin Hood characters but no other. (My opinion of course.) But I really love Lady Morgana.

P.S.: Merlin actors are more fanatical. That's why it has 4 seasons and 5th is coming. I like that. Unlike Lucy Griffiths want to leave.

Jonas Armstong has all the charisma of a tree. And his acting is just as wooden.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of Robin's and Marian's death and tears are beginning to fall out of my eyes ;(. This was my favorite show of them all. I was sad for about 3 weeks after the show ended, I couldn't even play Medieval Total War 2 for it reminded me of Robin Hood and I just couldn't stop crying. Anyway I thank BBC for this awesome show, though if it haven't been axed there would be a happy ending and I wouldn't be so sad.

I loved this series, although Season Three was pretty awful. Sad thing is, it could have made a good plot and a good show if they hadn't made it so flippin' childish!

i didn't like Marian either, but i don't think they should have killed her, it goes against the legend. yeah sure she did die later in the book, but that was after the king came back. she and robin lived in happiness for a while, and they probably had kids and stuff although they don't mention that in the book. still they shouldn't have killed her.

however since they killed robin in the end, i can understand why they killed marian.

i cried when allan and robin died. it was so sad! ahhhhhhhhh

So i was not wasting my time i was making a valid comment as to what i thought of this version when i stumbled across it by mistake. Technically, if we're going for historic accuracy, we're not even sure Robin Hood existed. There are records of people named Robert Hood or Robin Hode, but we can't be sure that it's really him.

Besides which, real outlaws were incredibly nasty criminals, more likely to steal form the poor than the rich. Plus Nottingham and Sherwood Forest are miles apart - too far for daily travel in the medieval times. Also, no Sherriff had the power depicted in these tales.

Still, it's a good story. :)

CrazyLazyMonkey, i dislike this so much because it represents everything wrong in britain today, reworking history into a politically correct sanitised lie. In this version marion was portrayed as an equal to men, the dialogue was wrong and historically inaccurate and don`t get me started on friar tuck. Tv progs should entertain but not at the expense of being politically correct and distorting history. Robin of sherwood was a more accurate account of the brutality of life in medieval times.

even in the original legend, marion was respected. but in this series, she isn't treated as well as you think. she got her house burnt down, was put under house arrest, and threatened through her father.

I believe that by being less concerned with being so pc and modern, progamme makers can still make pretty good programmes. When you disregard historical accuracy the programmes become a joke. This prog could have worked if it was more accurate. As for friar tuck black people did not arrive here until tudor times which leads me on to another bad reworking of history on tv. `The Tudors`.
