Well stevebcentral.....just fyi, Tim Lynch's world record run in the 2008 Shakedown Event was a 6.49. Steph Papadakis's record in his V6 civic was 6.54. That's a .06 second difference. It's tough to find specs on a Ford 620ci, but i'm guessing its a V8, maybe you could update me on the liters/cyl's on a 620ci?

Honda V6 = 6.54

Ford V8 = 6.49

First of all Its not a Ford 620. It WAS completly custom built 620 cubic inch Proline race motor. They ran a 670 for 2009.

And if they ran anywhere near how much boost that V6 needs to make those times, they would be with top fuel..

Tim Lynch's old mustang was a full weight 3300lb car, which ran on a 10.5W tire. They aren't putting full power down until 180-250 feet out..

I dont see why you compare them, they're two COMPLETELY different cars, in COMPLETELY different classes(which makes all the difference really).

And being a redneck has nothing to do with the length track they run at. The closest track may be an 1/8th mile and they may not feel like driving X hours to a 1/4 mile track.
