@MetroidODST I'm a pretty huge Venom fan, let me say that first. Yeah, he's vulnerable to fire, obviously... but in the comics, he ate several pumpkin bombs from Demogoblin (a much stronger goblin villain) and still whooped him hard. Just saying... one pumpkin bomb would not have ended him.

But then there was the Civil War crap, Mac Gargan got the symbiote, and Brock became Anti-Venom(who's still pretty cool). Now Flash Thompson has it and he's like the symbiote Captain America!

There was no Venom in that movie at all, just some tiny little guy with a black suit and no tongue, who kept referring to himself in first person singular. Unless I hear the words "we are Venom", I don't even consider it a legit attemt at making Venom. I dunno who he was, but he wasn't Venom. I like Topher Grace as an actor, but they should have picked somebody who was jacked like the guys in the movie 300.

But if they would bring back venom without restarting the movie series, a hell of good way to do it would be to have the symbiote sample from Peter's teacher escape, and have it take over Peter's old school bully, Flash (from the first movie) who is way muscular than brock was.
